I promised myself I wouldn't think about this until it was settled one way or the other. But he is such a special player.

Just put on the thread about suggesting a top offer, at which point the missus looks in and says "what are you worried about your not paying it "Mind you it has been a source of many rows this month she thinks i am on porn fest

This is how it feels to be City,
This is how it feels to be small,
We take Sánchez
you remain with Theo Walcott

=====

He comes from Chile and just wants to play _ for Pep
He left London because he did not win _ a shit.
He loves his dogs, he hates to lose. The little guy, a deathly c*nt
Alexis Sánchez is our number (9)

I got the song;

Alexis *clap* *clap *clap* repeat ad-infinitum

*please note: repeat ad-infinitum is not part of the lyrics*

It's hard to judge without knowing the exact state of the club's finances but if we spaff here it restricts us elsewhere. If we'd not wasted £30m + on Mangala maybe we'd have been closer to getting Mbappe, for example.
Bollocks think we could have matched the asking price for Mbappe but the kid preferred to go to PSG.

To the tune of She's Electric:

Verse

He's Alexis, he's from Chile his pace is electric,
Left Arsenal coz they are pathetic, he's City's nine.

Chorus

He plays in blue and white, for Guardiola (ola)
wearing number nine
He can play left or right, or on your shoulder (shoulder)
What a forward
He'll get the ball from KDB, and run through your defence you see
And in the box your keeper's screwed,
Coz he's Alexis and he's gonna score past you.
Thats quite impressive!

Stick with the £50 million and then go back in January with a much lower offer at which they will bite our hands off because at that point they will be losing him on a free next season. Arsenal ain't stupid and they will buckle under the pressure before the window closes.
Mike it might sound odd the way i put this, but if you buy a shiny toy now , you dont wait till xmas to play with it

It occurs to me that our last two big deals involving Arsenal players weren't exactly a roaring success. Third time lucky, hopefully.

The biggest worry for me is that with this transfer dragging on as it is and City being preoccupied with getting it over the line, we may lose focus and not be able to get the Jonny Evans transfer done in time.
Yep its eating me up as well
