It really looks like Arsenal didnt have a clue how bad they had let their squad get until Liverpool ripped them apart and then they panicked offering up Sanchez but had left it too late to plug all the gaps. Arsene has really fucked them up. His legacy will be well and truly tarnished after the next 2 years.

I would have liked to have seen Sanchez here, but on the positive side, Arsenal are going to win FA this season, then watch him wander over to us next season for nothing. If I was a Gooner, I would be really pissed of with this. If they had a great side that were challenging for top honours and Sanchez could be the difference, then to keep him would make sense, but they aren't. Bit daft really in my view.

Funniest thing is Arsenal left with an unhappy player and an average squad. They could have probably got around 140M early on in the window for Sanchez, Ozil and the Ox and replaced them for the same money with top quality additions. Now they will get nothing for 2 of them next year and still need to replace all 3. With transfer inflation it will probably cost them the best part of 200M to replace them adequately in next Summer's window.

Hit the nail on the head here for me. Don't believe a word anyone says about this being City's fault for leaving it late. Most other clubs would have just taken the money and rebuilt the squad. Had they done that and brought in 3/4 top quality hardworking players, one of them being Lacazette, Wenger could have really got the fans back on side a little bit.
