Just thought it would be a final offer regardless of a replacement or not. Let's face it, Arsenal have a fair bit of rebuilding to do and £70m is still a lot compared to nothing. The market could calm down again next summer for all we know.

The football market only goes one way - up and up.
 
How pissed must Sanchez be feeling right now. I do however think that we'll complete the transfer in Jan.

I was gutted. Over it now and seeing the positives. More game time for Sergio and Jesus to build a relationship and wrack up the goals. And less chance of Sterling and Sane being marginalised as both have the potential of becoming far better players than Sanchez
 
What I don't really understand is...if Sanchez was our number one target, then why we did we leave it until two days to go of the window? We'd have signed him easily and given Arsenal plenty of time to negotiate a replacement. Unless there's a valid reason ie reduced fee by taking a chance at the end of the window?
