I'll be interested to hear Shearer's take on it, seeing as he got away with kicking folks in the mush.

I think you will find it was usually his elbow. But as an England number 9 he could not possibly have meant it, no matter how many times it happened.
 
With the international break, and precious little to write about, the hacks had whipped themselves into a frenzy about our game, in full expectation that Liverpool would simply carry on where they had left off against Arsenal. This was going to be the real curtain-raiser to the season and show us all what we were to expect from Klopp (how often in the last few days did we have to hear about his and Liverpool's record?). Well, nobody expected that result (irrespective of the red card) and the hacks are now having to suck in their hyperbole and come to terms with a few home truths.
 
Lets see what the back pages are tonite,if it was the other way around it would be a pic and we are disgusting,i'd bet my stash of chocolate that it won't say that tonite

Be all about how it completely changed the game,the ref should have actually sent ederson off for having the gall to charge out to stop mane and of course the scoreline flattered city after Liverpool downed tools over the travesty of manes sending off..
