Star Wars VIII: The Last Jedi

Some of the best scenes from any Star Wars film but the acting is shocking.

Three of the main characters, Rey, Fin and Poe are played by terrible actors and this makes it very hard to have any connection to them in my opinion

You're wrong there, I thought the acting was shit in both

The acting in ANH, my favourite, was truly dreadful. Lucas even made Alec Guinness look wooden.

People forget that Star Wars is a kids story. It's not a serious actor driven saga.

Positive to hear the action is full on.

Like I have said before on here, if Luke doesn't kick some serious arse, i'll likely be very disappointed.

I watched it last night and I'm not sure, lots of great individual parts but it felt very disjointed as a story, I'm seeing it again Friday.
I liked both the force awakens and rogue one and they both seem to get panned by a lot of people so my judgement might not be very good

Yeah the acting in most of the originals weren't great at all

It's a good Star Wars movie. I'm not going to rank and rate it beyond that on first viewing. It did remind me of The Empire Strikes Back at times and one particular segment was I assume a very deliberate nod to that movie.

I thought the acting was fine for this kind of movie and Hamill's performance was light years away from his original appearances. The dialogue was a bit stilted at times but I blame the writing for that.

I don't agree with comments that there was too much humour in the film and I loved that there were some laugh out loud moments.

I'd actually have preferred a little less CGI spectacle in places.

The film is not perfect but it is a welcome addition to the series.

Went to see it last night and initially I thought, the acting was bad, direction was clunky and the editing was a bit meh. I was generally worried, but I actually enjoyed the film but it is flawed and felt like a filler film between the last one and the next one.

One thing I would say is the Rey/Kylo storyline is looking interesting, I would also like the next film to shake off all the old stuff (characters, storyline etc) and take it in a whole new direction. I feel the old stuff now is a distraction rather than an essential element to the films.

who the fuck was Snoke, who were Reys parents I’m not having they were nobodies, it was all over the place fuck Disney

I will accept the acting in both was shit. I just thought it was extra shit this time.

I have never seen any of the films at the cinema. I have never regretted that as they are always too fucking predictable.

I prefer Sci fi that involves gratuitous nudity. Maybe that's where SW is missing a trick.

There were one or two but in general it's the formula. I would like to see them get defeated. Totally destroyed, then living under the yoke and then rising up triumphantly and battling evil, then losing again. :)

I thought it was extremely refreshing and the writers have taken on board a lot of feedback (if it has been written since FA).

When I saw the trailer, I thought this would be Empire Strikes back MKII with the assault walkers approaching a rebel base with the troops lined up in the trenches and Rey would experience a grueling training programme on the island similar to Luke's training with Yoda.

I was wrong and I thought the film was extremely refreshing, they dropped the nostalgia and left it all behind in the Force Awakens. All of the space scenes were fantastic along with the lightsaber duels especially with Snoke's guards.

Just recently i have come to the conclusion the rebel alliance are cunts...let me explain

1. Alliance is too close to United

2. A dome headed meglomaniac wants perfection and will settle for nothing less with his team

3. Empire is ruled by a mega powerful individual that just wants to rule the footballing galaxy

Up the Empire

What are they going to do about Leia? I thought she'd be killed off in this film but what about the next? I didn't notice a note or anything in the end credits.
