Pathetic selections and strategy from ECB - these feckers are creaming the Broadcast money and doing nothing for the game. Grassroots cricket is struggling. I know that from people who I know that work in the game.

The whole county game needs a shake up.

But guess what it will be all glossed over by September as England will beat Pakistan & India using the Duke ball in English conditions. Although I do feel Amir for Pakistan and the India Bowlers will cause problems

Amir will tear that batting line-up to shreds, and it's time Kohli had his tour here now he's matured a bit more in his game.

Swanny was saying last night the Aussies are preparing for the revamp by using the Duke ball in Sheffield Sheild matches.

They are banking on the 20/20 English revamp to double their cash.
 
So glad I stayed up until 3-4am to watch...Only positives to take is it wasn't 5-0, Curren came in, did ok. Think it was B Lee who was saying about his action...if he can spot something like that so quick why can't our coaches? Malan also impressed, big timers didn't step up from all the tests.

Says everything when the top 5 bowlers is filled with 4 Aus, all with over 20 wickets and 1 English..pretty pathetic how the Ashes has been so poorly prepared. Aus were giving interviews before "oh we will just bounce the England tail out" and we go in flapping around like they have never faced a bouncer in their life...

Feel sorry for anyone who has saved up to go over to Australia and watch all 5 tests because it was pretty woeful from a Cricket point of view.
 
Just finish off the winter with a pasting in the one day games and the 20/20 now,then hop over to New Zealand to receive the same beating there,before returning back home for the visits off Pakistan,Australia and India to slip further down the world rankings,same old England Cricket team

They'll win either the one day or 20 20 series and all will be forgotten.

this tour was a joke and nobody is laughing at home just the touring party of the so called best cricketers we have in the game also how many coaching staff medical staff and the rest of people working in the back ground have had a easy tour with no pressure of having to win or you out its been to easy for england on and off the fie of play

i listen the other day at lunch to vic marks going out about crap and there is no need panic and wheel the axe and doing so would make england even worst ???? what am i listening to a ex-players or a clown. you just watched over 6 weeks of england taking a beating by a australia team that is probably the worst they have had for a long time and they win without fight or passion from england and we never bowled them out and took 20 wickets in a game

we know the score over there and its never changes and it you don't have the right players for touring australia your going to get beat and whitewashed forget this it was only 4.0 it was a washout in the 4th test and i know england and cook did ok but we lost 3 days of cricket really and they would have turned it around and won that aswell its that bad

forget 20/20 cricket and ODI its not what the ashes is about and its more of a sample cricket game a show piece and entertainment for the fans nobody really cares who wins unless its the world cup who can remember what england did last summer in one day cricket or 20/20 yes we are better at the short game but its not cricket

who wants to make a bet that england will do nothing and the same old players will keep there caps and win the ashes in 2019 and then in 2021 tour australia and get thumped again and we will all be saying the same old shit
 
Anyone watching the ODI right now? Going fairly well for England so far 125/3 with Australia batting.

My man Ali just hit for 6, although he's bowled well in patches. Just Woakes looking leaky

Looks like we are holding back our best players for the World Cup and was the main target when Baylis took over.
 
England have won.Noticed the Aussie crowd disappear when the chance of victory is gone,similar to the swamp in the 1-6.
