VAR (PL introduction 2019)

Some people just don't like change,i would rather be patient and let it bed in and look fowards to not being shafted at least once a game,if i still hate it at the end of a full season then ii'll take it back
last season the rags and spurs got a ridiculous no' of offsides in their favour and pens from dives, that has to change

morata, hazard and willian like a dive but last night they didn't do it,if it has that indirect effect then thats brilliant

My problem/worry is, once its here and the spotlight is not on it, we have already heard Zaha's dive for the penalty would not have gone to VAR so we still would have been cheated but say it did go to VAR and we have Alti Taylor on VAR, do u honestly think he will say its a mistake

Twitter you say.
I’m not saying it will be the saviour of football, in fact, I’ve said a few times that the people controlling it could still use it, or not use it in some instances to apply their special form of bias and indifference. I would put the video being reviewed on the big screen for all to see and have the comms between the officials audible to all like they do in other sports so we can see/hear how they’ve arrived at their decisions for total transparency, I can’t see that happening though but this will have to do for now.
This....actually miked up refs and more respect for refs in rugby seem to go hand in hand.....the video ref is only generally used in try-scoring opps and I would feel that it is not beyond the wit to adapt that.."occasionally the videonref has been used on the spot for quite nasty cynical fouls... Scotland had a player sent off v Wales for a Fellani-type foul as a result of video replay publicly broadcast on stadium screens...this has to be the future for football

yawn

Theres valid reasons on both sides, nothing to do with not liking change.

It's not about the change. I just think getting our refs up to scratch is more important and this will allow them to carry on as usual.
Ie fucking useless. I also think VAR will cause as many arguments, as the current refs do.

How about you address the rest of my post then?
Whats the point been thought it several times throughout the thread. Fuck all to do with ‘not wanting change’, just think the cons outwiegh the pros of it, there will be just as much controversary with it but the game will be more stop start. And you keep saying give it time but I thought it was shit at confederations cup six months ago and nothing since has changed my mind.

discuss whats in my post about diving and the rest or don't bother quoting me,you are irrational, nothing has gone wrong in the 2 times this week it's been used HERE in the prem, wait and see, good nite

I love that the FA had the chance to introduce technology to improve the game and they've still managed to fuck it up.

The way VAR is being used isn't practical and creates more confusion than not using it, with all the variables in place as well as the fact the ref ultimately has to ask to use it.

We should have followed the lead of other sports and allow both teams 2 challenges per half. That way teams are responsible for how it is used to affect them and if they waste an appeal they only have themselves to blame.

But instead we have the shambles the FA have introduced instead. What a load of bollocks.
