Neymar

1 more season at PSG before he moves back to Spain.

City do not need a Naymar right now just 2 players to back Dino up & maybe another forward.

I do believe though 100% our owners do want a marquee player maybe next season then another every year after as our squad is good enough now to get through 2 seasons at least without having to buy 4 or 5 players.

If I was a gambling man someone like Hazard is the kind of player Pep would love to have.

Madrid will bag Lewandowski & 1 other this year with Naymar the year after Ronaldo will be gone.

There was a time I think we wanted a marquee player. I think now though they are happy with our marquee manager.. If somewhere along the line a marquee player Pep wants comes along then fair enough but it wont be Neymar.
Think the club are happy to let Pep develop KDB , Sane, Jesus and anyone ele into our own marquee players.

I do not understand why the player gets so much attention. Other than Pele describing him as a great, I have seen very little on the pitch to suggest that he is anywhere near the calibre of the world's very best.

Maybe we are going after him to get the rags to gazump us, pay mega money and bring another misfit into their dressing room, along with Pogba and Sanchez.

PEG has history going for players other teams want, so it could be we are creating a fake market for them to bid in.

Surely the rags will pay absolutely anything for Neymar, if he becomes available to the Premier League ?

Even if they have to change the name of the stadium to the Adidas Neymar Swamp & sell bits of Bobby Charlton off to collectors, they will do anything. Proves they are The Biggest Club In The World. Street party in Dublin & Oslo.

Eiight at the back, soak it up, 'knock it' to Neymar, down the channels. Or Lukaku can flick it on to him.

Perfect.

I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole. He might be the best talent in world for the next 5 years but he's gonna screw us like Pogba did the rags. He's an expensive, needless signing that will put Pep under fire, when he inevitably throws a fit and under-performs.

This story strikes me as a typical example of a plant from the player's camp or PSG, with the aim of driving up either wages or transfer fee. Given the collective ethic that Guardiola has fostered I struggle to believe he'd want to bring in this ego.

Neymar is exactly the player we don’t want. Glad we didn’t get Sánchez either. Young, hungry talent is what we need, not the marquee signings we sought out six years ago. Creating and maintaining a group/team entity is key to repeated success.

Like others have said, I dont see this great world class player that he is hawked as. He is clearly one of those players that generally holds the view of me me me. I cannot see Pep wanting that kind of player, one thing is evident in the City squad and that is the togetherness and the fact that regardless of the differing personalities in our squad some stronger than others there is nobody more important than anyone else.

Agreed, and why he would be a perfect fit for the Rags, all hype and bluster.

I thought it was just me mate. For me too much hype,a very good player but not in the same league as Messi or Trannyboy.

If marquee is what we’re after and versatility is a must, then Dybala is surely the answer.
Dybala is the very opposite of versatile, can't play on the wing, can't play up front, can't play in midfield, can't play as a 10. It's false 9 or nothing.

Griezman over dybala for me has shown he can play on the rw striker or in the hole behind makes more sense to me
