I honestly think that the team has now hit a brick wall. The high intensity needed for last night wasn’t there, a few of our class players seem to have run out of steam. I’m not at all surprised after what they have given this season and I for one am glad we need just 3 more points for the title. It would be brilliant to win against the rags, if we did that would be end of the season for me, let them go on their holidays early they have bloody well earned it play a lot of the kids for the last few games. A lot of our big name players are going to get little rest with the World Cup over the Summer.

So if we win the league here are the players gonna pretend like they didn't just get humiliated in the competition that really matters?

I’ll be celebrating winning the league like any other, the way we have achieved it this year is incredible, beat United away, Arsenal home and away, Spurs home, Chelsea home and away, Liverpool home....all those great days and you think they have earned the right to celebrate what achieving all that has led too ? Imagine what the players would think of us fans is they lift the title and we all sat there like “ yeah but we got beat Wednesday “

It was only a couple of days ago that we battered Everton at goodison, something we never do. We can still break all sorts of records, they get their holiday when the season finishes.

Oh dear. Since when did a result in any corrupt UEFA cup mean more than a season of unparalleled football in a season in which we should win 2 cups including the PL - breaking records galore.

What you have just said beggars belief & normally I ignore fools but your childish comments are totally unacceptable.

Gundog cannot play in this game, Sterling should & Bernardo for Sane.
He seems to think he’s irreplaceable, his awful game v the dippers needs to be punished.

Get a grip
'Punished'?

A 22 year old whos been outstanding all season and was just essentially hung out to dry by our abysmal tactics and left as the only desperate option to win a game away at Anfield and you want to punish him?
He didnt play well but we were awful and completely reliant on him to do it alone

Honestly your post is the most embarrassing thing I have seen on this forum tonight and there has been some poor, poor posts.

Well said DJ. Some so called “fans” are a joke - I have to think they’re fake fans or kids

It's amazing how some fans on this forum seem to enjoy slagging the team off at the first opportunity. Ok, it was a poor performance last night but with any sort of luck we would have come away with a result that we could have coped with.
Let's just pinch ourselves and revel in the fact we are one win away from a league title and we still have a squeak of getting to the champions league semi.
Btw this is my first post on here so Hello!!!!!

Pep will probably play a weakened team with Tuesday in mind and we will get beaten as a result.
We need to play a full strength side win the title and take the confidence from that into the game on Tuesday to stand the slightest chance of keeping a super super season on track.

Wtf, unbelievable post that... It’s happens, teams lose and play badly. This group of players have been amazing this season and winning the league in such style is an incredible achievement and we should not forget.

Need to play a full strength team on Saturday. Got to build some momentum again. We can still qualify for CL but need to build confidence up again against United.

I would much rather win the Premier League then any UEFA cup competition, until UEFA clears everybody of the governing body out and starts a fresh with a whole new body, I don't have any time for what ever they say or do.

If you read my post again you will see i’m Not “slagging the team off”, far from it. After all this team has done this season they are now looking tired ,which is not surprising, and as far as i’m concerned as soon as they get the required 3 points for the title let the majority have a well earned rest and play the kids for the remaining games.

Ederson
Danilo
Stones
Otamendi
Delph
Fernandinho
Silva
KDB
Sané
Aguero
Sterling

I'd take KDB, Sané and Silva off after 60 minutes regardless of how the game is going.

Walker looks dead to me, I thought he was poor against Everton and he was certainly awful last night. Give him a rest.

KDB & Silva starting sends the right message, and gives us a chance to win the game. Taking them off after an hour because they need some freshness for Tuesday, if we're winning then great, Bernardo and Gundogan can just kill the pace of the game and watch the clock tick by while keeping possession. If we're losing then there's no point overexerting to try and win an ultimately meaningless game in the scheme of things.

We need to play a full strength side Saturday. If we lose both Saturday and Wednesday this would take some gloss of the fantastic season we have had already. Let’s win the derby then we can think about Tuesday.

TOTALLY TOTALLY TOTALLY agree.

Rotating and playing anything less than our A team would be utterly bonkers in my view, and probably result in us losing the Derby and going out of the CL anyway.

Let's get the league wrapped up, smash another record in the process (earliest league victory) and get some pride back after that horror show.

I still have faith in the team to beat the dippers at ours. It is going to be difficult and it might even go to penalties. Ideally we would win in normal time with Raheem scoring the winner in the dying seconds.
As for the rags, strongest team available,
get to the point where we can take off Silva/De Bruyne, then throw on Bernardo /Foden.
Do not start Walker as he has been a bit out of sorts lately - Delph will be keen.
Contrary to other posters comments - Vinnie
starts for me, why, because he is City to the core and really, really loves, beating the rags.
City to beat the rags 3 - 1.
City to beat the dippers on penalties after a 3-0 win.
