With my eyesight, I couldn't see the little bugger from where I sit in EL304, so I don't count him.And Beeny!
You probably wish you could have said the same for some of the players as well! With my eyesight, I couldn't see the little bugger from where I sit in EL304, so I don't count him.
Missed one match that season - we won 2-0. So I missed 20% of the home goals! You probably wish you could have said the same for some of the players as well!
I was thinking about this too, but don't know the answer. I am sure that we must have the record not just for most scored from.open play, but also, biggest percentage of goals scored from open play. When Chelsea were at their best, they scored a lot from penalties and corners. Liverpool might run us close on the percentage point, but I've no time to be the statto looking into it, I'm afraid.Does anyone know the record for goals scored in open play in a single season and how we faired against it this season?
0 Arsenal a few years backAnyone know what the record is for drawing blanks in a league season? We failed to score in two games, which isn't too shabby.
And if memory is correct it was scored by Michael JohnsonGoing through the stats, best/worst, I came across this little nugget....

Apologies if alteady posted but two other stats that stood out for me were; we were only losing for 153 minutes all season and we were top for 240 days which, whilst by no means a record, is only one day less than the rags have been top since Sergio scored that goal in 2012. Happy, happy days.* Manchester City have broken the record for most points won in an English top-flight season (100) – even if two-point era records are changed to three.
* Manchester City have broken the record for most wins in an English top-flight season (32).
* Manchester City have broken the record for most consecutive wins in an English top-flight season (18).
* Manchester City have broken the record for most away wins in a Premier League season (16).
* Manchester City have broken the record for most goals scored in a Premier League season (106).
* Manchester City have broken the record for best goal difference in a Premier League season (79).

* Manchester City became the first Premier League side to ever attempt more than 1,000 passes in a game against Swansea in April.
* Manchester City have broken the record for most passes in a Premier League game three times this season.
* Manchester City completed more passes in the first half of their 5-0 win over Swansea in April (542) than 247 of the 507 players to have played in the Premier League this season have attempted all campaign.
* Pep Guardiola is the first manager to win the Premier League Manager of the Month award four consecutive times.
* Pep Guardiola has been named Premier League Manager of the Month more times this season (4) than Jose Mourinho has in his career (3).
* Manchester City have accrued more Premier League points this season (100) than eight clubs have in their entire Premier League history – including Oldham (89).
* Manchester City have accrued as many Premier League points this season (100) as Brighton (40), Cardiff (30) and Swindon (30) have in their combined Premier League histories.
* Manchester City have won as many Premier League matches this season (32) as Reading, Sheffield United and Wolves ever have.
* Phil Foden is the youngest player to receive a Premier League winner’s medal.
* Manchester City really are the best team in the land and all the world..................
Just to add to that, we scored more goals in the 38 league games this season than Pearce's teams managed in the entire 96 competitive games he was in charge (103).Going through the stats, best/worst, I came across this little nugget....
