I’m not sure it’s worth wasting your time with anyone who thinks the Jacksons were better than the Beatles

It was when Paul died and the new Paul came in (Billy Shears) that they became brilliant. Its all about the earlobes...attached and then unattached. Paul is dead.

Lets face it though, everybody they dealt with was in the south, press, lawyers, studios, other musicians, friends, etc

London was where its at as far as other musicians, producers, publishers they needed all these things after they split. Plus their wives weren't scousers.

I'd have thought it would have been very difficult to live in Liverpool when your that famous. Especially when you dont like the place :)

Sounds like we’re in agreement. They thought Liverpool was a shit hole so they stayed down South. As you say for a pop star in the sixties this probably made sense anyway. I just find it ironic that they left Liverpool in the early sixties never to return yet the City have built their tourist industry on them. In fact other than a couple of years playing the Cavern they spent their early formative years in Germany. You still get Americans in Liverpool asking where Abbey road is

Also he's got his back to the camera on the rear cover AND he's the only one wearing no shoes on the Zebra crossing Abbey Rd cover...........(all deceased are shown with no shoes in Tibetan folklore)
