Weren't directed as a personal insult to you just some blues won't have anything said about anyone except bravo:)Don't doubt that for a second mate but I'm not having that I won't let people speak, as if I could stop anyone saying what they want anyway.
Sorry, but this simply isn't true. No need to compensate for the gash that gets talked about Sterling by making him out to be uniquely creative and dismissing the creative abilities of England's other attacking players. Two wrongs etc....
You'll never win pal some won't let you speak the truth
this key factor isn't just aimed at Sterling, some on here want Rashford, Young, Lingard and others to fail and will abuse them 'Rashford' etc, alot of my hammers mates cant stand Kane and will give him sh*t if he doesn''t score - fans with club loyalty specs on are a problem and help whip up negativity, far more than the media does in todays social media world.
Do you think that PL games have simply taken the sparkle away from Internationals even at WC level ?Exactly. They can be shit in an England shirt but still stufuckinpendous because of club blinkers and/or media hate. Or they can score for fun in an England shirt but be shit because they’re a lazy-arsed spud/rag with an oversized chin/nose. (Delete which is not applicable.)
Now I love City and hate utd as much as the next man but the level of tribalism on this thread is embarrassing at times. It dims all perspective for some.
Indeed, I am a Spurs fan!
As I said, if Kane isn't working as tirelessly for England as he does for Spurs, then it will only be because Southgate has asked him to play in a different way. Still.........better than putting him on the wing, as Hodgson basically did at the last tournament!
I’m with you on this, SilverFox2. We’re particularly privileged as City fans these days, although that hasn’t always been the case! In the last few years I’ve lost a lot of interest in England as their football generally seems comparatively turgid. Must admit I enjoyed yesterday’s performance, though, and there’s something refreshing about a squad and manager without inflated egos or false reputations.Do you think that PL games have simply taken the sparkle away from Internationals even at WC level ?
Perhaps players as well as fans do not see it as the pinnacle of their career particularly as most good teams consist of mainly foreign players so there becomes for some a drop in class when putting on the England shirt.
I have to admit that my adrenaline level is nowhere near as high watching England cf City.
Is it a coincidence we fuck Rooney off and the squad looks better, big fat Sam would have had him first on the team sheetI’m with you on this, SilverFox2. I don’t want to but it is only polite to come second...:)So, who wants to finish second then?
If it means an "easier" ride in the knockout rounds, it's got to be done. So, who wants to finish second then?
Always focus on your next game. All this talk of trying to avoid Brazil/Germany in the quarters is a bit premature for me when England are easily capable of being beat by whoever they face in the last 16.If it means an "easier" ride in the knockout rounds, it's got to be done.

Precisely. Colombia were superb against Poland and would be a huge threat.
I think I'd also quite fancy us against Brazil.
The issue here is Japan are in pole position to top group H and Colombia are likely to finish 2nd. I think we'd beat Japan but losing to Colombia is very realistic.Always focus on your next game. In that scenario 2nd again is better off for us with a better possible quarter final draw
