If Southgate and the coaching staff are stupid enough to bow to the pressure of the red shirt history club posse and drop the player(Sterling) making the best runs, keeping the backlines occupied to provide space for Kane then England deserve to go out. At least then those who still didn't get it after the Belgium game will be rightly shown up for the clueless muppets they are.
I don't mind him being subbed on the 80th minute when we are 1-0 up personally especially if he's tired as that keeps him fresher for the next game.
The drop off from Sterling to Vardy though was a surprise even to me(Rashford against Belgium was less of a surprise but he wasn't even nearly as good either), he didn't even offer the closing down(chase a paper bag all day that lad if you ask him to) he normally does, didn't turn the defenders around with his runs. He made one chance from the right wing that was well snuffed out before he could find Lingard, which just shows what he needs to do far more of if he gets another chance.
