Hate dealing with Italian clubs
Said the same early on, but got shot down. A lot of the deluded fckers (Italian clubs) seem to consider themselves part of the old school elite, so, (while gladly sucking up to the likes Bayern, The Rags, Barca, et al), will consider themselves far too grand to be seen associating with nouveau riche scruff bags like ourselves.

How long before it clicks that we're still light years in front of them and that they're cheering on a Chelsea team who are strengthening with the rags clearly in their sights.

Yes.

Does anyone think Jorginho was going to tip the balance either way? He would have been a squad player like all the players are.

We have a squad of star players, not just a team of star players.

I don't know. We also have Laporte, Vinny and Otamendi to rotate - we have also gone after the kid De Ligt at Ajax?

Stones might actually enjoy getting more game time. In an England three, he essentially become the DM pivot, as he has to move forward to get the team out.
That would be a good options to be fair...I gotta admit that but we can also say Vinny can play there too as he played there earlier in his career (obviously he’s injury prone) but it def requires us to get de ligt ASAP to cover for one of them transforming into that position (fern can give them time as well as he’s not yet at that yaya don’t give a fuck anymore phase)

And still fit. And still one of the first names on the team sheet. And still gives 101% every game.

But don't worry yourself, City will find another player before the season starts.

Arsed you think. Clown.

Jesus Christ, why are you bringing effort into this? No one said he doesn't give everything, but last I checked, trying hard wasn't the cure for ageing.

Why is it you think accepting a 33 year old isn't going to be at peak fitness after a 54 games season with no break is some sort of personal attack on Fernandinho's character and his status at the club?

He'll probably be telling Txiki who he wants instead and to get it done quickly.

I'm not saying this is a disaster, I'm just annoyed at how many people seem to automatically take this "we didn't need him anyway, he's shit, he's a dickhead, we got 100 points without him" stance.

I’m completely with you on that. As I said earlier, that’s the sort of response you’d expect from ill-informed Rags. I’m disappointed but, hey, that’s the way it’s turned out and I’m confident something will be done.

One thing is for sure, we didn't find out about this today. The club is run by experts in their field regardless of what anyone thinks.

We will have a back up plan as we always do and there is still some serious time left to make a deal.

Napoli can fuck off. They knew all along that Sarri was going to Chelsea, they knew all along what Chelsea were willing to pay. Everything was known. They just strung us along and then offered a pathetic apology. We should never do business with them again. No buying, no selling, nothing. Fuck them.

Claudio Gomes is 5'4". That would be a very tiny tank

He's probably a bit taller now, the heights on youth players are often a few years out of date and obviously they grow. He's small though, and 17, with no professional games.

Don't forget that we have Gundo as well who is capable of stepping in for Ferny, I appreciate he isn't a long term solution as the task we have in mind is quite specific however we do have options.

Would love Amadou Diawara of theirs though. He looks like one for the future!

To lose our first target was regrettable to then lose our second target after being first in a one horse race for two months is unpalatable , both against our rivals next season dont see how those on here can be satisfied with the outcome i am sure we will end up paying more to get someone of his ability

I can’t say as I’m arsed about missing out on Jorginho in the slightest to be honest. Decent with the ball, and I fully understand why Pep wanted him, but frankly feeble without it and slower than a special needs class in Norfolk. Different type of player admittedly, but I’d rather have Lamina anyway. And in all seriousness if a transfer target is so concerned about the respective nightlife’s on offer in London and Manchester that he would eschew Champions League football and the chance to play for the best manager in the business, he’s really not someone we should cry about missing out on. We’ve pretty much operated a ‘no cnuts’ policy in the transfer market for the last 2 years and long may it continue
