The Boxing thread

Are you measuring him next to McIntosh? He’s 6ft 7/8ish

In terms of body weight, he is at the lower end of the spectrum for a heavyweight, although 16 stone is more than enough!

Alright Zin....no just meant he looks a very slim build for a heavyweight, he turned to the side on the tv and there was not much body depth which surprised me. That though might just show how good he is ! Never seen him fight though

It's said that he punches harder than any of the current heavyweights. He has a distinctive windmill punching style.

Interesting then.....have you seen him fight on tv etc ?

Or has anyone else seen any of Wilder’s fights ?
He has a granite chin. Ortiz hit him with some major offense and he somehow made it through.

He's called the windmill by some, which will give you an idea as to his technique. Incredible athlete. You'd almost certainly have to beat him on points to get past him.

Cheers pal...good to now as to me I am not that clued up on him as I have never seen any of his fights. Makes sense be ause i posted earlier that he doesnt look that big in terms of body size, which means he must have the ability for a smaller guy ( not tallness )

Turned it off, this guy wouldn't of got past round one against aj or wilder or Whyte or any half decent heavyweight

I think it is evident that fury is very ring rusty, it is all about him getting a title shot asap but if going of what i have been told tonight it might be too rushed for him to face Wilder
Shades of the classic Tatum vs Simpson fight...

Please ignore everything he’s just said ffs... lol

Ortiz is older than my nan, 5 years younger and he’d of stopped ‘the windmill’ quite easily. Anyone who knows a modicum about boxing, knows his style is flawed, he’s just never fought anyone of substance. The one thing he has is great conditioning, however it would be ‘night night’ against Joshua, I’ll take anyone’s cash on it!!
