That was outrageous, how long it took the ref to stop the fight.
I think the ref got it right, mate.

What a tit this guy is.
What a tit this guy is.
Didn’t AJ wish them both the best of luck and welcome the winner to wembley on April 13?
Fury probably on spice or summat !
Good knowledge but I think the Fury/Wilder fight will go ahead. It will generate a huge purse for Fury who could lose to any of his contemporaries for much less money. It’s also a good precursor for Wilder to set up a monumental fight with AJ that could possibly generate a world record purse. Think AJ will sit tight now until the big un comes along, March/April makes sense but it could would be an even more attractive proposition mid summer in the UK.Fury v Wilder will not happen and how can you name a date when you don't have a stadium to fight in ????? promoters are clueless and both are just media men, yes tyson is a good boxer and did the business and won the titles the hard way but his dad and promoters milked him dry and left him out of dry when the money run out
now fury is looking for easy fights and the last 2 fights have been jokes and now ready to fight Wilder ??? give over tyson you never in shape to fight Wilder after 2 bum fights, and i know you will duck out of the fight in november for some daft reason or even if the fight was on in the first place and not just a smoke screen to upset AJ and hearn
my bet is tyson will fight in early jan 2019 maybe vs dillian whyte and then the winner fights AJ and for Wilder he will talk the talk and run and hide and fight in the usa vs some bum that will make him look good. Wilder is holding all the cards and knows AJ wants his belt but with AJ champions of all the other belts he can not claim a wbc mandatory fight without fighting under wbc rules and they don't rank other boxer outside of the wbc council so its never going to happen unless Wilder loses to his mandatory fight, and then he would have a rematch in the contract anyway, so it could take up to 6 months to a year for the wbc to vacate the belt if he loses
Got to hand it to AJ that was some finish, more like the earlier career version. Had to take his lumps last night Povetkin was a nightmare for him at times and could have been up on the cards by the time of the KO depending on how you viewed his aggression against AJ's work. AJ needed that kind of fight after the last couple of indifferent performances. Obviously you don't want t get hurt in there if you can help it but it demonstrated his resolve to stay composed and true to his gameplan in spite of him being tagged with clean shots in every round. That finish was ruthless too.
Just as well the main event was as good as it as because the rest of the card was shite. Special mention to Okolie-Askin for possibly the worst fight I have ever seen at any level. Embarrassing that one guy can 'win' a British title in that fashion. Three points off and countless more warnings for excessive holding, hugging. Be a miracle if Askin isn't pregnant after 12 rounds of that last night. In fainess Askin did nowt himself so in an ideal world the belt should be vacant, waiting to be contested by whoever is interested in engaging in a clean boxing contest, because that fight was a terrible advert for the sport.
