No he is not a patch on our midfielders- nice bloke though.
Too nice to be with that set of twats .

Incredibly, The Times' Manchester correspondent went as far as to describe it as "a great deal" for the club.
31 this coming April. I think he could do a job as relief for Bernie, Raheem, and David, in a “free” playmaker against lower opposition without much trouble.I would take Mata as well, always rated him,i don't know his age though or where we would play him
I think he is not too far off Raheem and Bernie from a playmaking and possession control standpoint and would do a better job than Ilkay, if I am honest—he is just completely wasted by Mourinho (at both Chelsea and United). Not a patch on Kevin, David, or Bernie overall, though, I agree. No he is not a patch on our midfielders- nice bloke though.
He is much older than i thought,he has had his peak years ruined by maureen, shame that is31 this coming April. I think he could do a job as relief for Bernie, Raheem, and David, in a “free” playmaker against lower opposition without much trouble.
But, I agree with @tolmie's hairdoo, I would rather see Foden given opportunities in that and a few other roles.
I suppose I should have qualified my statement with “only if he is content being a bit player, picking up a decent wage and more medals, and mentoring Foden, Bernie, and other academy players”.

He is a very nice bloke—had the opportunity to chat with him at a charity event in Asturias a few years ago and he came off as one of the most intelligent, grounded footballers playing today (though, that’s not a particularly difficult distinction to earn). We even had a short discussion about the Spanish economy where he actually seemed to know what he was talking about, which is not that common for those in the football world in my experience.
I suppose that interaction, and what I have read about him apart from it, has biased my thoughts on bringing him to our club. Still, couldn’t hurt to add to our already impressively intelligent squad—Pep certainly appreciates that quality.
No thanks.I would take Mata as well, always rated him,i don't know his age though or where we would play him
You don't know that Sterling is, nobody actually knows if any negotiations are going on, only what a few newspapers report, presumably driven by his agent. They also aren't holding out for every last penny.
Its only £39m if you believe the BBC, either way its ridiculous, for a player that the manager has spent most of the last 2 years slating.Sometimes it's worth just taking a moment to realise United have handed Luke Shaw a £52m contract for....nothing? For starting half a dozen games?

If he does go he’d be the first proper first teamer since the takeover who’s left against our wishes
Really hope he can get him tied down to a long-term deal soon. Would be pretty gutted if he left with his best years ahead of him.
Great post mate.I think we’re fast approaching the point of no return. After the way Milner strung us along, the club must surely know it has to crap or get off the pot before the summer. We either offer him what he wants, or something close to it, or we lose not only a player whose form is such that it would cost at least £80m to replace him (and that’s if we’re lucky), but one who’s English as well, and who knows what bullshit lies instore post=Brexit in respect of home grown numbers. The way he’s been playing this season, Sterling’s got to be in the £80-90m bracket, if not more, particularly as he’s clearly been working hard on putting his foot through the ball in front of goal and has developed a close to immaculate first touch under pressure. He’s the most improved player in the Premier League over the last 12 months, and potential suitors know they will have us over a barrel as regards the asking price if we let the matter go on much longer. This isn’t like Arsenal and Sanchez, where the player was close to 30. Sterling could easily call any bluff about letting him rot in the reserves for a year, as he’s only 23, and he’s already shown his willingness to play hardball at Liverpool.
Hopefully the support he’s had from the fans in the face of unrelenting media hostility will resonate on a personal level, but I wouldn’t gamble on it. Sounds obvious, but he either signs or we flog him, probably for less than he’s worth, given that we’d be talking about June rather than January, based on how close the league is looking right now. In a way, I don’t think it will come down exclusively to numbers, but also to whether he regards a faltering Madrid as an unmissable opportunity or not, and that’s something that’s out of our control. Personally, unless what he’s asking is so ridiculous and would throw a Sanchez style hand grenade under the club’s entire wage structure, I’d bite the bullet and pay it, and the sooner the better.
If he lets the supposed grief from the media determine if he chooses a move to Madrid, he best make sure he hits the ground running over there. Hostility from fans and the media over will make the supposed stick he gets over here look like fluffy little kittens.I think we’re fast approaching the point of no return. I’m presuming he will take this into account.
I personally think he will stay but if he doesn’t, he’s replaceable in a way Aguero wouldn’t be had he made a move away earlier.
As the post above mentions, your use of the word 'supposed' is odd as the unwarranted extra attention and criticism he receives is very real, and very obvious. If he lets the supposed grief from the media determine if he chooses a move to Madrid, he best make sure he hits the ground running over there.
