Kyle Walker : 2018/19 performances

Decent enough game defensively, save allowing the ball in for the penalty, and he even managed his trademark rocket cross (17th min) that, as always, evaded everyone on the park. :-)

Thought he was terrible yesterday tbh. Really struggled to control the football.

Danilo could do with a run to make Kyle focus methinks.

Imo he was pretty bad first half but improved in the second.

Danilo needs to play against Lyon and if he plays well would start him against Bournemouth.

Looks like Walker has been much more complacent this season and I agree it’s also due to a lack of focus on his part.

Can't blame him too much though, he must be tired physically and mentally after last season, summer and again this season. Danilo's injuries haven't helped either.

True, he has played a ridiculous amount of games. Virtually every game for us then the WC, a short holiday (two weeks?) and now again playing every game with Danilo starting the season injuried.

I don’t think he’s having a particularly good season so far. He’s useful for stopping counter attacks though.

Maybe not at his best, - as could be sad about Mendy as well. But, still we have the highest amount of clean sheets (8) in the league, have conceded the fewest goals (5) and a have superior goal difference (40!), so I think we're doing okay. ;)

Bumbled around a bit at times again on Saturday BUT I think he is vital to us and would be missed if he wasn't around

Will always be reliant on pace to get out of trouble and whilst we keep clean sheets you can't criticise too much. Has played a lot of football in the past few seasons and is making errors in his positional play defensively but a vital part of our play going forwards. Danilo is a good player who can cover if he stays fit. Assume he was out of the squad for tactical rather than injury reasons?

Yet again he looked really, really poor.

I think a RB should be scouted for the long term, because he looks to be on the decline this season compared to previously.

One of the players that worries me the most. Don't see him at the same calibre technically as his teammates. Wonder how the right flank would have looked if he had that little extra confidence to go forward that Dani Alves and Lahm had under Guardiola!

Been saying for while now, I hope Danilo gets a run in the team.
