Are Labour a total shambles now as an opposition?

This is the political sub forum not the parody one.
Watson or cooper ffs
And abbot wouldn't even get a look in from lerf wingers.
Her and Corbyn aren't even left wing, well not enough to be taken serious by proper lefties, the daft twat can go tomorrow as long as the party stays socialist.

What’s wrong with Cooper?

Yes in reality.

A PLP with effectively a hard left front bench led by Momentum backed Corbyn and McDonnell who then have to lead a large percentage of MP’s who would sooner have a Chukka in charge.

Brexit would be just as much fun with Labour in charge right now.

Brexit was created by Tories and is now being attempted to be delivered by them. Labour would never have even have given a referendum that's the difference

Politics these days reminds me of the season the PL was won by Leicester.

It appears no fucker wants to win it.
Would you want to be the PM who fucked up country by delivering brexit?. It's not something you want to go down as a worse pm than Neville Chamberlain.

The people wanted a vote and the people answered.

At least the Tories listened. Labour are as bad as the Tories these days and survive off of Northern stereotypes.

Any chance we could ban posters who don't proof read their posts before posting?

It was question that never needed asking. It was always a bigger Tory party issues. Cameron got to big for his boots on the back of a scotish independence and a general election victory he was like a dog with 2 docks and he wanted a word. Win another referendum kill off Farage UKIP and the far right in his party. He did for selfish selfless reasons and he wanted to be Churchill but ended up being Chamberlain

Anyone who allows Diane Abbott a voice should never be anywhere near No10.

It was Ed Milliband who started it, gave her a shadow cabinet role, and if all the mard arses hadn't refused to be in shad cabinet maybe she wouldn't be in such a lofty role in it.

Dom't find her inspiring in anyway that makes me think "I'd vote for her" doesn't come across as very much of anything to me in a sense of what she stands for, and her husbands a twat.

The last part is totally and utterly irrelevant.

What you mean is she isn’t left wing enough for you, which I’d respect more if you just said that.

She’s held the government to task over Brexit far more than Corbyn has. Her questioning of Ministers was brilliant.

She’s been somewhat of a champion figure for Remain and I highly respect her.

At a time of Brexit chaos, a divided government, PM leaving before the next election, rising knife crime, rising homelessness, increased racism, NHS crisis, and yet Labour still cannot command a decent lead in the polls. Corbyn is at his lowest rating since 2017 and Labour are about a point ahead. Surely any decent opposition would be soaring in the poles by now?
The problem is how many of these issues are regularly on the news as a result of Brexit? It's almost like Trump, where you just saturate the media with one story so nobody notices how badly you're doing on the things that matter.

Not at all, there are plenty soft left MPs I would support as leader and if you look at her voting record, she votes in line with most things I agree, also I have no issue with her parliamentry committee work, just find her sort or meh and uninspiring.

She has far more about her than Corbyn.

The trouble is she doesn’t want the leadership position.

My point exactly. Brexit is clearly important but a huge distraction at the same time. As someone said earlier they’re also not being challenged on them.

The things that annoys me more than anything is the government blatantly lies but isn’t held account. For example money spent on education. Consistently they say it’s the highest spending ever. What’s not said is the money includes financing student loans, tuition fees etc. Labour don’t challenge it and they are weak. It’s infuriating!

Blair/New Labour had critics/ made mistakes but they’d wipe the floor with this Conservative government.

It's the obsequious toady!

How's Bluemoon's lickspittle of the ruling classes doing today?

I don’t need to ask you why you don’t like Cooper do I? I already know she’s not in line with your ideology so you responding is a waste of both of our time.
