I dont think he wanted to do that. It was a poor first touch, what is rare for him, and he had dribble.I love how calm he is with the ball at his feet, but is no one else bothered that he could easily have given them a crucial goal at 1-1 when he dribbled past their striker within a yard of the goal line? That was pretty reckless if you ask me, and I hope Pep has a word. If we'd gone 2-1 down again after taking the lead, that could have ended very differently.

Top save by him from Salah's shot when it was 2-1
It seems to happen most often when we’ve set out a non-first choice pairing in front of him, to be fair.Very much so.
His decision making remains erratic of late, though.

I think it regularly comes down to him not quite knowing what those in front of him will do. Still, he should have probably expected Vinny to clear that ball last night.
Agreed.Laporte Stones pairing makes him less out of position because they link up in triangles well
Thought so too. But I think he wiffed on one ball earlier in the game and that might have made him tentative later on.Thought he should have claimed the cross that Liverpool’s goal came from but maybe gnashing just me
Totally agree, fantastic finger touch save glanced over by the mediaI'm surprised more hasn't been made of the save near the end of the game, where the ref waved on two fouls in our final 3rd to allow Salah through on goal. I suppose that's what you get when the highlights skip over most of the good things our players did. They didn't forget to mention Alisson's recovery/block on Aguero I seem to remember.
We'd have been fuming for the rest of the season had Eddie not kept his cool and got his angles right. He made it as difficult as possible for Salah and got a hand to the eventual shot, to help it out for a corner.
That was worth 2 points right there. He hasn't had to show it often but that was an example of him being cool off the ball, for the shot stopping side of the game, when it really matters.
