It's not unheard of for medicals to happen at 10 o'clock at night so in theory a player could arrive as late as 8 or 9.

You don't actually have to do all the paperwork by the 11pm deadline these days, you can just send a slip with the details to UEFA with both parties signatures and the documents can follow later.

The problem surely is that anyone we'd want to sign is someone another club wouldn't want to let go, and they can always justify ruling out a transfer on deadline day to the player.
 
If we do sign someone today, no doubt they'll be asked to 'fuck off out the club's at the first sign of a dip in form.

It’s better to be realistic and be wrong then optomistic and let down. I’ll be ecstatic if it’s true but unless we somehow found room in our squad it’s pretty unlikely...I don’t see unless a sudden departure

The only player that would improve us is Phil Jones on steroids. Not just Phil Jones. he has to be on steroids. When we play Liverpool we start with him just in front of the back four, give him a sniff of Mo Salads wet shirt and let him off the leash until he's been dragged off by the police or tranquillised by an FA dart.

@tolmie's hairdoo is the most reliable source here in BM, therefore trust him and lets hope the deal will be done.
