What a surprise, Fb sites with plenty of Everton tickets being offered around . Funny how they are never offered for certain other games .

I think the point though being made is that when there are so many complaints about the unfairness of the points system etc etc and how people can't ever get to see City away even when the chance of a relatively simple mid week trip presents itself you would have thought there would be people falling over themselves to go and watch the team but clearly not so.

It doesn't make anyone better if they go to all/most games but it clearly makes them more deserving of tickets to away games in general. I think that is the only point people are making, which is hardly controversial.

There are some difficulties with the system in that younger people will have difficulty of ever catching up due to the year that they were born and were able to go to games which could be looked at (although most of the complaints I see directed at city on twitter for example about the system seem to come from middle aged middle class new fans, most young people seem to just sort themselves out or get over it if not), but overall I think the system works fairly well. And I say that as someone who despite going to more games than many up until recently has never qualified for a league ticket at old Trafford, sometimes has missed out on liverpool and chelsea more recently (now we have corporate/tourist appeal) and always miss out when the opponent only has a small ground like Bournemouth, Brighton etc. I would never complain about missing out to people on higher points as they have clearly gone to more away games over the last 15 years than I have. It doesn't matter for what reason.

What does annoy me like many is the amount of away tickets that end up in the hands of tourists who often only have a passing interest in city or may even support the home team, at the expense of people with a decent amount of loyalty points. And as a representative of season ticket holders I would hope you would be fighting that corner in any discussions on away tickets. I think you mentioned somewhere that if hospitality season tickets holders sell their tickets on there is nothing much to be done about that because of the money they bring to the club but surely as hospitality season ticket holders have their own representative he can make that point if he likes, but you are there to represent 'Normal' season ticket holders, no? Plus as I have always said, why go along with this club line of blaming 'points whores' when City themselves clearly sell batches of tickets to agencies. There is no other way that 6, 8 or 30 tourist fans would get tickets together (often on the front rows) at away games.

I know - going into that game Liverpool were one place lower than Everton are as I type, so it doesn't have the same appeal to this season when we're in a title race with them.

Point I'm trying to make is I completely understand that people have their own lives/work/family, (even I, who has been bizarrely labelled in this thread a "self-proclaimed super-fan" by the season ticket City Matters rep, couldn't get the time off to go to Newcastle this week) but if this had been in the 2018/19 season vs the other team on the boarders of Stanley Park then it would have sold out before going to general sale.

People bleat on about never being able to get a ticket for away games but there has been a great chance for those on lower points to get to an away game and get some points, so that maybe next time they might qualify for a game that they wouldn't have without it. This must be the 5th PL domestic game this season (out of 12 away games) which has gone to general sale - almost half of the games. And I get it with some, Cardiff's, Southampton, Newcastle are all far away but Everton is not.

I have this same gripe.

As do a fair fee Blues, going off the Liverpool fan thrown down the steps at Anfield last season who was in our away end.
 
Prestwich blue should print off Blue Jess post and take it with him and challenge the city representative on each and every point made in the post and demand answers
All we are asking is fairness and transparency in the way the club are dealing with away ticket sales.
And for them to stop eroding the allocation to the loyalty points holders.
Tell them to never forget the majority of their support as they may need us again one day

Sorry about that but I'd just come out of a 3-hour meeting at City about ticketing issues and my head was thumping as nothing in that meeting was simple or straighforward. But it does wind me up when people say that "Well if you went to Newcastle away you'd soon catch up" as not everyone can do that. I can do Everton next week as I'll be in Manchester but if I was working in Newcastle, or even Halifax or Leeds, then I couldn't.

The points system isn't intrinsically unfair but we're in a situation where demand is often high and the system basically encourages people to buy tickets they don't want to use to stay on the ladder. We want to discourage that as far as possible and without saying too much, I can tell you that the club is committed & taking action to reducing abuses, the scale of which is much higher than we think. We have had a discussion about agencies but it helps if they have evidence though so, if you're at a game and there's something clearly not right, like a group of "obvious tourists" (though I got told off for using that phrase) then let me have seat numbers and I'm happy to pass those on. Without those there's not much the club can do. We've already submitted evidence of even our authorised resellers breaking the rules as well as UK sellers like StubHub and Viagogo (who we don't believe are authorised) selling tickets, in contravention of the law.
 
System waa fine before Platinum. I did it for a year but buying loyalty is not right. Difficult to come up with a better system though.

I think it's great that these points were brought up but without putting a downer on your efforts all it seems to have done is to let the Club know that were are
aware they are complicit in the misuse of tickets. I will say again if a Corporate in a box takes 6 tickets and sells 4 to Viagogo will the Club suspend his tickets.
I don't think so because he will threaten not to renew his box.
All I think they will do it try to punish the little people.
I hope I'm wrong and thanks for your efforts on our behalf.

PS There is a rumour going round that if you book on TC for Shalke you will get a ticket without points.
Wonder if you had heard this /

As I've stated before, I've paid upwards of £300 for tickets at Liverpool 2014, United 2013, Everton 2014 as well as numerous others.

I will do this again if required

If I was to report the seat numbers PB, would my tickets become invalid or would you suggest I only report it after the match?

Genuine question as I don't want to spend the money and then find my ticket doesn't work on the gate

What was the clubs response to this? Did they pretend not to know or were they none committal on the subject?

Is the Tommy Cook tickets for flights something that is still up for discussion or has that already been decided?

I know you get a lot of shit on here but I think most of us appreciate what you are doing.
 
Doesn't appear to be much appetite to eradicate the complete randoms taking up huge chunks of away tickets, especially at the big games, the absolute priority should be to stop fans of liverpool/utd/chelsea etc sitting in the away end in their own ground, You can also add foreign tourists with zero loyalty points and zero affiliation to city also taking the tickets, but we know these are being paid for at premium prices, so won't be targeted. Frankly it stinks
