Away tickets

Let’s say we have
500 with 20000 points
500 with 18000
500 with 17000
500 with 16000
There’s your 2000 away tickets gone

These people I would imagine are all on the cup schemes anyway
The next cup match we are all rewarded with 100 points per person and 50000 all buy a ticket
How will anyone be able to move up the pecking order ?

At least with 3/4 aways going to general sale a few get the chance to get some points and move them up the ladder slightly

It was in the minutes of the second CM meeting. It's been talked about on here before so people saying it's the first they've heard of it clearly haven't been paying attention. We're moving the focus to attendance at home games, particularly cup games.
But who's deciding things on behalf of us, the fans?
You seem to be agreeing to everything without anyone having a say.

@Prestwich_Blue I understood the loyalty points change to mean you didn't get them if the game sold out eg. United away.

This is because people with the most points get dibs already, then get rewarded with points too which widens the gap further to those that missed out but are trying to catch up. I understand the thinking with that.

Can I get clarification as to what happens if the game doesn't sell out? I thought I'd read you would still get them?

Not if it was a game that we both have planned to go to. For example, we both want to go to Fulham this season so it’s both or nothing. But she didn’t want to go to Newcastle so I went alone.

Fulham you should be fine as the 'neutral end' is basically an extension of the away section

@Prestwich_Blue and what was the rationale for the 18-25 year old's ballot only coming out of the Seasoncard holder allocation?

"These tickets will be removed from the total allocation reserved for Seasoncard holders (60%, 1,800 tickets)"

Why shouldn't I defend SC's and the club? I'm an SC member and my branch, Alkrington, is fantastic, with monthly meetings and organised travel. On the other hand, another branch seems to have only had a handful of meetings in the last few years yet I bet they still get tickets. And the system of allocating tickets to branches long pre-dates the points system and explosion of seasonal hospitality members.

And while the club hierarchy don't always get it right, the CM committee members are happy that hte club is making a serious effort to engage with us. We're working with club staff on working groups covering ticketing, equality & diversity and catering. But we tell them what we think and one senior exec got challenged very robustly by committee members on Thursday night. We've pushed back on the arrangements for the 18-25 ballot and the TC Euro away trips in order to get better outcomes than the ones we were offered originally and I think we'll succeed in getting those. We're stressing that good communication is key and that you can't do things like introduce a completely new ticketing system and just expect people to get used to it instantly and they have certainly taken that on board. So I'm going to give them credit for that as it's more than we've ever had before, from the 'Fan on the Board' days through to the demise of Points of Blue.
You have asked everyone to give you information on people abusing the system and then insinuate we are loonies
And then you come up with the above pearl about a supporters club
Name the club or you to can join the loonies
You and your group are doing a lot of your own back without consulting the people it is going to effect.
How many more tickets are you going to allow to be creamed of the loyalty card holders.
If there are going to be 150 allocated to 18/25 year olds share the burden across all parties
1.25% off loyalty, supporters club , corporate and staff

Tbh why should the 60% seasoncard holders already get be even part of it?

Corporate, Supporter clubs and the 5% the club keep back should take the hit.
My suggestion three or so weeks ago was that they should be done through the SC allocation and that the 18-25 year old should be a member of a SC, ensuring that it’s going to the right person, allowing them travel to the game and getting them to join the ‘Club’.

On another side they’ll be less need to buy additional SC tickets to pass on to youngster.

One question that does need to be asked is how does the OSC allocate the tickets that they are given? For example are they allocated on a percentage basis i.e. does each branch get the same percentage e.g. 2%. Or are they, as they appear to be from things I have heard from members of a few branches, allocated as the OSC committee thinks fit?

About £25 dearer though.

Oh yeah. Didn't think of that. Should get a decent allocation though from what I remember. Might depend on if city run another one of those corporate boat trips down the Thames - that cuts the allocation by a couple of hundred !

Fulham doesn’t have the same photo opportunity/prestige of Chelsea, the Toilet or Anfield

We had asked that no points be given for away games but the club had made a counter-proposal that they would still be given for games that didn't sell out to seasoncard holders. While we weren't keen, as we wanted a "clean" solution we felt it was one of those negotiating points that you give way on as a quid pro quo for getting most of what we wanted. But we talked about it again on Friday morning when we had a ticketing working group involving reperesentatives from the ticket office and IT and there were technical issues with a part-solution meaning we can only give points for all away games or none, so I think we're going back to the original proposal of none.

It's one thing when you talk about things in theory or principle but it's actually quite useful to talk to the people on the ground who will need to implement it.
