Away tickets

I accept what you say and I believe every ticket should go through the loyalty system.
But the club and various bodies want change to suit the present day supporters and whether we like it or not it is going to happen
My gripe is it seems to be only the loyalty points holders getting hit.
Mine too.
We are the largest group of fans with the smallest say.

agreed.

Why can't clubs have bigger away allocations if they need them as happens in the rest of the world? It's ridiculous to get just 3000 out of 60,000 at Arsenal especially when a lot of their fans don't turn up. Perhaps clubs should be forced to provide neutral sections like Fulham where anyone who really wants a ticket gets in. I accept this would be difficult at some of the more incendiary matches eg Liverpool and the Rags. Spurs got 41,000 yesterday in Wembley and Newcastle got less than 3000 tickets. That's just bollocks. This problem affects all the best supported clubs. We need to get together with The Rags, Liverpool, etc ( I know pigs might fly) to pressurise the authorities. This problem can be solved for probably 80 per cent of away matches which is a step in the right direction.

United have the largest stadium and give the minimum they have to. They’re not going to agree to it.

Perhaps it won't work for Derby matches but United fans struggle for away games just like us. Maybe the Premier League should insist on larger allocations when required. It happens in the FA Cup. There should also be minimum requirements for stadium sizes (as there used to be for the Football League). Bournemouth are just taking the piss after years of huge TV revenues. I think a minimum of 3 to 3,500 tickets for every away match would solve a lot of problems. It's stupid for any business to ignore demand from fee-paying customers. You may be correct about the Rags. The Glazers don't give a shit about their fans but we don't have to use them as the benchmark.

Not sure any club would agree to that.
Why would arsenal or us or any team want 6/7000 Geordies at the game.
More away fans reduces the home advantage so be amazed if any team votes in favour of this given it would also possibly reduce match day income given away tickets are currently capped at £30

and that's why we have the points.

they can dress this up all they like, not everyone of course but many fans now want to come late to the party. even then for certain games only. sorry a points system doesn't work that way. as for any ballot taking even one ticket off someone going to City for even 10 years is a travesty. you wait your bloody turn. I did.
So you’re happy for the club to dish out tickets to corporates reducing the amount of tickets available to people at the 14-16000 points level but not for a ballot taking tickets off the same people? That doesn’t make any sense

System waa fine before Platinum. I did it for a year but buying loyalty is not right. Difficult to come up with a better system though.

I have tried on several occasions on this thread to get people to agree with me, I think you are the first one ! Before anything else this needs to be scrapped. The revenue the club make cannot be that great that they will risk having Blue on Blue. If you can afford the £50 you would be daft not to be on Platinum as you move away from others, points wise, who are not on it. That is wrong.

There were thousands of Supporter Club members at the games. I couldn’t get home after the Arsenal game but managed to get a train to York, from where I took an expensive cab ride.

I find it a bit sad all these Blues who are quick to turn on each other
. They tend to see themselves as Super Fans

Yep, Didn't sit well with me that folk from the City Matters group were labelling posters on here loons, all for having a different opinion eh?
Glad you noticed it too!

The Groups overlap mate and the Newcastle and Everton games show “

Yes the name calling should stop. You are right

Not happy at all but it is what it is. They are businessmen and good ones at that.

I was trying to make a (poor) joke of it but you’re right.

But why aren’t some of the more vocal posters on here policing the ticket threads, where there’s people regularly offering tickets, including multiple tickets?

And I can tell you for a fact that there’s some hypocrites posting on here but I’ll say no more on that.

Very true Colin. I noticed in the Wembley ticket thread that people were taking advantage of a glitch in the system to jump the queue for family members. Not a word has been said lol.

I tend to accept that sometimes things go for you and sometimes they go against.

Looks like you just did.

I know you've obviously read the post, but is there any chance of clearing up how many of the City Matters group are OSC members?
Surely even you can see there's a conflict of interest if the majority are?

No I can’t and I’ve no idea anyway. I assume Kevin Parker is and I am, as I’ve said. All the members are seasoncard holders so is that not a conflict of interest as well?

This is what gets me exasperated. People (just a few I hasten to add) seem to think there’s a huge conspiracy or a set of conspiracies going on and that me and the others are either complicit or unsuspecting patsies being used by the club to legitimise these scams they’re carrying out. We aren’t. We’re just doing our best to work with the club, representing you, the fans, to make life better for us as far as we can. We’re not going to get what we want all the time as there are constraints we have to accept and frustrations that the club may not budge from positions that we’d like them to budge from.

I’m happy to take constructive feedback and even some criticism over decisions we’ve made but you have to accept we’re doing our best. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got to pick up my Everton ticket from a supporters club points whore, book my first CL away with Thomas Cook as my man in corporate has let me down and go to the game. See you all later.

Or clearing up how the away tickets allocated to the OSC are distributed to the branches? Has that question been asked at the CM Committee meeting yet? I appreciate that you are not the rep for the OSC but you are the only person from the CM group who has the guts to come on here. Plus I’m sort of lucky because I am represented by you as a Season card holder, by the OSC rep, the women’s rep and the over 65s rep as well! :-)

So I’m sure one of those reps could ask the question! Pass it on if you don’t want to ask yourself PB! Thanks for your work.
