Time wasting is my biggest annoyance. I would stop substitutions in injury time and if a team tries wasting time then forget all this yellow card business, just add on 30 seconds.

i was watching the egg chasing the other day and they had an interesting rule that if you scored 4 or more tries you got a bonus point and if you were within 7 of the winning score the losing team got a point. Football as always lags behind VAR etc but it would make for a more interesting league at both ends and attacking football even for the relegation teams. They could have teams who win with 4 or more goals get an extra point and losing teams who score 2 or more get a point. It would certainly mean teams not sitting back even if getting hammered or teams winning pushing for that extra point.
Can see some fairly dodgy shenanigans if one team needs a win, but other just need a bonus point. 4-2s all round!

Visible 20-second timer for goal kicks, throw-ins. If a team breaks the limit, the whole time is added on and the screen shows the game tally and that for each team. Could do same for substitutions.

Giving additional points for scoring more would open the possibilities for cheating.

What's to stop the teams in the 90th minute saying let's allow each other to score one goal each to make it 4-2 and then we would both get an additional point

10-15 yards? Lichtsteiner managed to get a throw in that should have been 10-15 yards inside the Arsenal half and take it nearly level with our penalty area yesterday.This & stop players gaining 10-15 yards taking a throw-in.

I would be 100% behind that idea in theory, but unfortunately, in practice, it would potentially leave things wide open to corruption & 'favours' or collusion.
Especially in conjuntion with v.a.r.
Whole titles, Champs Lg qualification & relegation issues, could be decided by teams chucking games late in the season or bent officials sending players off, awarding pens etc, if rather than just goal difference, they get actual extra points for it.

In the case of Harry Redknapp or Fat Sam at the swamp, for example, you can just start the game with half the team out 'injured'.
Then soneone can get sent off. Then a pen is given, players get 'tired' chasing around etc etc etc.
Suddenly it's 6-0.
