We were by far the better team and down to ten and losing in the dying minutes. Scary to me. Could have been one of those nights when we're well on top but lose - thankfully two moments of brilliance got us what we deserved.
We could have lost tonight (not through our own fault) but I'm totally confident our team would more than make amends in the return leg. I never felt worried or scared for one minute.

Has anyone mentioned that Caligiuri is a ****?

How that whinging **** didn't get booked I'll never know.
He's one of those players you'd give him a two footed tackle after two minutes.
We will bring it up before long, most likely in a game where it's us asking for the pen & not getting it.
Just like the Newport game...Yeah I think so ;)

That's what Walton said tonight when asked why the Fernandinho pen wouldn't have been a foul in the Atletico game.
It's a travesty that it's been allowed to get to this point. Rugby is a far harder game to referee yet by and large it's refereed consistently from game to game and despite new interpretations of the rules every year they manage to roll them out with a minimum of fuss. Football referees are making it up as they go along at this stage and nobody in power cares.

Then you thought wrong.
For the second pen Fern slightly touches the attacker's arse (ooo er) and waist, I've seen defenders throttling attackers by the neck in similar situations and nothing given.
For the first you could argue for it but he is getting his arm out of the way and the ref did not give it, so really it was not a clear obvious error and yet he still gives even though he isn't able to watch the replay.
Get real mate.
Don’t disagree with you on previous incidents, but the ref isn’t taking previous incidents into account, as I said I don’t think anybody has a clue what is and isn’t handball . Thankfully it all turned out ok , upwards and onwards .

Three times he was within an inch of the ref’s face screaming at him in the first half.

Even their own manager told him to calm the fuck down.

Really? Tell me about them.
We got a throw in that we shouldn't have gotten against Newport at the weekend and it's debatable whether the ball was still in play for our second goal against Everton in the league cup final in 2015/16.

A real shame all the focus is on the bent officials and UEFA again , when we have just put in a brilliant and resilient european away performance , congratulations to our team , manager and the loyal three thousand travelling supporters , tonight was the coming of age of MCFC in the champs league , we are going to f*cking win it.

Sorry mate , every team gets some decisions , but bet i can show five decisions going agaisnt us for every favourable decision we get , the Dippers do not have the same problems in fact they appear to get five in their favour for every single decision against them , its not a coincidence that the Premier league need The Rags and Dippers to be successful , it good for the "brand"

Your contradicting yourself...You said 'He didn't deliberately handle the ball, But it's a penalty'. Is that you Mr.Walton?
It’s a grey area. He shouldn’t have had his arm where it was to start with but I agree it’s a tricky one for a ref. I just think that if we had a shot on target and an arm blocked its path to goal we wouldn’t be happy if we weren’t given it. I was wrong about the yellow. If it’s a pen it’s a yellow.
