Why we will win the league!

Liverpool have the luck for sure, if things were average we would be at least 8 points clear at least. So let’s rub it in, seven wins without a slip from Gerard will do nicley.

Liverpool's name on the trophy afraid. How many last gasp gift wrapped winners is that now. Spurs should have beaten them with the chances they had in the second half l. City will probably have to win all their remaining games to do it and looking at the fixture list on April that's gonna be tough.
I hope I'm wrong but you just start to think that with all this luck they keep getting its maybe their year after all.
You look at those defeats against crystal, palace, Leicester, Newcastle, 9 points thrown away , if we had won them like we should the league would have been won now and at the end of the day if we fail it will be because of those results and not Liverpool's luck
You lot have spent 150m to be 2 points in front with us having played a game less.
Clap Clap Clap.
Outstanding.

Grrrr... at 87 mins today I would have bet my mortgage on us winning the league.. with us being able to lose a game and them winning every single game not being enough. Would have done it for me... would have been the final nail in a very average 2019 for them. As it stands we are still favourites but nowhere near the magnitude of what could have been as they would have been beaten mentally imo.

We need to show them who’s boss.

I thought they were going to slip up today but they seem to just be grinding out results.

However this is the key for me, they are now having to grind out results rather than coasting to them, they are constantly playing catch up and you could see just how much it meant to them today. The pressure is the one thing we can not predict, they have blown it before and who is to say they won't do it again.

Sorry if I offend some on here but I just don't like the title of this thread . It pops up to the top every once in a while .
I feel it smacks of boasting and may give our main rival an excuse to try even harder to win. This is not the time for self righteous, prideful , over confident speculation. How about something more humble like - " Why we can win the title ?"

Scallywags are running on empty, real kick & rush stuff. It is said that over a season luck evens out. In which case Liverpool should lose all their remaining games through sheer bad luck. Job done.

I disagree.. i remember the start of this thread and given the context of this thread at the time and it was anything but arrogant.. when it was first posted it was more likely sniffed or laughed at but city fans... the original post and title has been bang on thus far and should be cherised as a good luck omen lol

I guess the red dippers singing they were going to win the league in December is not?

Southampton away Friday night won’t be easy for them especially if we win handy on Wednesday

There are so many absolute fannies on this thread it’s cringeworthy.

Man up you sad ****s.

I agree. We are the better side and have our destiny in our own hands... but... people fear their spawny nature and today’s late winner was a kick in the balls.. that’s all.

I think we will still win it. In fact I’m backing the quad.

Liverpool might have won but that game made me feel a lot better about playing Spurs 3 times in a row.

They buckle under the slightest bit of pressure, have no quality width, and are so wasteful in the final third.

The away tie will be tough as it’s the first big game at their new stadium but they’ll struggle badly in the 2nd leg at our place.

It won't be won by them on goal difference, that's for sure.

They are struggling to keep pace now. We are a rolls Royce cruising and they are an old trans am struggling to keep up. Maybe we fuck up and they chug to the title. Maybe, but odds are that we are the ones who will pull away.

You can tell the strain on them is really showing. Lucky goals will not a title win.

City need to focus on the next game, and then move to the next game, and then the next. It will come down to bottle, and we have it.... Lots of it!!
