Why we will win the league!

I've been convinced ever since 29th January that we lost the title with that stupid loss and those December games.

Possibly. The players know that they need to redress that situation by probably
Bizzare to think that some posters don't think we can win 7 games on the trot when the team won double that and then some (18) last season.
Have faith.
This. The players know they fell short in Decembe so they also know thay have to show up in the coming weeks. I think they will do it.

I just do not believe they keep winning and winning and they're so average.
How lucky can they be? I start to fear that they'll steal it in the end.
Sure, they've had some good fortune, but they didn't beat Everton away, they didn't beat United, they didn't beat West Ham, and they didn't beat Leicester. We're actually the truly unrelenting team that just keeps winning, and we haven't done it through good luck, which is why the Liverpool manager, team, and fans are doubly worried about us.

Nothing has changed after this latest round of games. It's still in our hands and we will have to win all our remaining unless Liverpool drop points. It's frustrating the amount of points they are being gifted but if we had just won one and drawn one of Leicester, Palace or Newcastle we would be currently 2 points ahead with a game in hand so it's on us too.

It's going to be incredibly tight and if we fall short then we go again in August. Eez football, as Bobby Manc used to say.

Hope Spurs are that bad against us too. The palm down from Loris was schoolboy stuff but their shooting attempts were awful. Liverpool looked very average again but are digging out points. Personally I think that goal could be a title winning moment because our schedule is so tough it’s going to take something very special.

I don't fear Rags, I certainly don't fear Palace, and I don't fear the tiredness factor because we seem to be managing that very well. What I do fear is bent decisions and referees. Did anybody see that official at Clanfield today, celebrating the win at the end?? My mate just sent me the tweet from somewhere so not sure who it is yet, but this is what we are up against. #Rottentothecore.

We have banana skins, Palace in partucular has been a hard ground for us. They also have banana skins.

I believe we will come out victorious because we are by far the superior team.

If we don't, fair play to them, but they know they've had all the luck as usual.

Don’t underestimate the power of 40 points and teams going on holiday. Palace need another win and have two games before us.

We can help ourselves by doing everyone at the bottom a favour and smashing Cardiff. The more safe teams we play the better.

Never seen a luckier team . I’m gutted because I know that they will prob win the fucking league with the luck they have . We need to win every game to beat the lucky scouse ****s
I am not saying we will win it! It’s clearly going to be tight. But if we do - well the moment it is confirmed will be one of the best moments of my life.

Keep the faith blues. Win Wednesday and then it’s 6 wins needed. 5 wins if Liverpool draw just one game. I believe they will draw one.
i don’t think they will drop points now . Never seen luck like they have in all my years watching football and that Includes Uniteds fergie years. There luck is off the charts . We need to win every game

Anyone else notice an FA official celebrating behind Klipperty Flop when they scored their late winner ?
And people say the English game isn’t Corrupt

We were close today. Liverpool's luck is extraordinary, but I feel they are going to drop points playing like that.

Just the keeper errors alone; Pickford, Speroni, Rico and now Lloris. The odds on all those happening in one season are so remote.

1 game at a time, win Wednesday and we are top again and things will look better. Could do with the Dippers drawing one game and Southampton away will not be easy. We are still in the driving seat and it's still in our own hands.

This is what the table would look like with the luck stripped out.

Sort by the end column XPts.

5.73 points is the number of extra points Liverpool have got via luck versus the number of extra points we have got from luck.

The luckiest team are actually Arsenal.

A 5.73 swing pretty much would have made us hard to catch but Liverpool would be miles clear of third with the luck stripped out over the season.
