IT'S NOT FAAAAAAIIIIRRRR!!!!

I've been saying for weeks they'll slip up away to Southampton on Friday night.

Has all the makings of a banana skin.

We need to take care of business tomorrow and pile the pressure on them. I'm weirdly only afraid of Palace away for us.

Usually I don't tend to get caught up in these kinds of discussions and I try not to be irritated by media coverage, but we've been in two title races with Liverpool now and the coverage of both of them has felt as though City haven't actually been a part of either at all. Liverpool have this wonderful ability to take control of the narrative and every pundit goes along with it. The commentators on my NBC stream didn't talk for the first sixty seconds of the Spurs game because they wanted us to "drink in the Anfield atmosphere" and "listen to the noise". Liverpool's fans are great, Liverpool are a great team, but the sentimental and mawkish coverage is unbelievable. The title we won in 2014 was made to feel as though we'd stopped Liverpool from winning it, or that Liverpool had stopped themselves. It'll feel the same if we manage to do it this year as well. We're barely a fixture in a title race that's currently in our own hands. As if to prove my point, a panellist on the Totally Football Show casually (and accidentally) referred to 2013/14 as “Liverpool’s last title-winning season” but not one of the other panellists even noticed he’d made the error.

They will continue to have a 'charmed' run-in. Following a 90min oggy, Jurgen will have appointed a Technical Remover of Banana Skins Director. Nothing is being left to chance in Dipperdom this season.
