Hope you're right but can't see it myself, Southampton are shit
I'm a pessimist at the best of times but their home record since Hassenhuttl took charge has been alright.

3-2 vs. Arsenal (W)
1-2 vs. West Ham (L)
1-3 vs. City (L)
2-1 vs. Everton (W)
1-1 vs. Palace (D)
1-2 vs. Cardiff (L)
2-0 vs. Fulham (W)
2-1 vs. Spurs (W)

Two silly defeats to Cardiff and West Ham in the middle of that, but big wins over Arsenal and Spurs, and they probably should have been given a penalty to go 2-1 up against us before Zinchenko and Aguero stole the show and took it away from them. They're definitely capable of getting even a point, which would be alright.

I watched them at weekend and they are now a very ‘in your face’ team who press and commit men forward. Redmond played particularly well, was very direct and up for it.

There’ll be goals in this game. 2-2.

It's all about the pressure. If we beat Cardiff to go top then the Spurs result, though fortunate and positive for them, is written off again. It is back to needing to win and pressure back on.

Klopp has really gone for it this season, risking a defeat to get a win. It has worked in several games - Everton and Spurs notably. Milner and Henderson came off for Fabinho and Origi and Spurs carved them apart but missed their sitter and conceded a ridiculous late winner.

Against Wolves they similarly had no control over the game but Wolves just didn't take their chances. Even at Fulham they struggled. Southampton are still not safe and their manager has been excellent. They have the players to hold out defensively and will get at Liverpool. So you just never know.

It would be lovely for them to slip up. Give us all a bit of breathing room. Because after they play Chelsea things are a lot easier on paper for them whilst we have Spurs and the rags away to contend with amongst games away at Burnley and home to a rejuvenated Leicester side that play on the counter and have the players to cause us problems.

A long way to go but it really is 50/50 at the moment. If we didn't have so many games I would be a lot more confident.

I know one or two dippers who go to the games and they hold these dickheads in just as much contempt as we do, the vast majority on RAWK have probably never been to the NW never mind candlestick park, they are just keyboard warriors with not a single cell between em.... Pond life if you will....

I've been saying for weeks they'll slip up away to Southampton on Friday night.

Has all the makings of a banana skin.

We need to take care of business tomorrow and pile the pressure on them. I'm weirdly only afraid of Palace away for us.

Wholeheartedly agree on both counts.

Nowt weird about being worried about Palace.

I think their first XI should have them far higher up the table; definitely in the top 10.

More like 60/40 in our favour, I'd say. It's in our own hands, points-wise. They are just as likely to slip up as we are. We have the experience both of keeping your head in a tight finish and in simply winning the league. Not only do we have the know how, we don't have the weight of expectation they do, or the relentless pressure that all the 'it's their year, it's written in the stars' stuff adds, or the knowledge that the last time they were in a title race they were in a much stronger position and they still fucked it up. Potentially we have two more fixtures than them in the FA Cup so that's scarcely a factor, and you'd say that the chances of them progressing in the CL are if anything greater than ours.

They may win the league, but they aren't even close to having as good a chance as we have.

Small point but sly mentioned that 3 players could have been offside when Bernardo scored yet nothing mentioned at all when salad played one two with lloris and nothing mentioned about van dick picking the ball out of the net and hoofing it out of the ground.

Last time the Dippers won a title the Betamax video player was considered black magic , shell suits were de rigueur and the KK perm was the coiffure of choice whilst being plastered with Brut after shave , i still reminisce about my limited edition Ford Escort Eclipse wheel trims and cassette player when i stupidly parked my car on Stanley Park. Its 'istree laaaaaaaaaaaaa.

When the buswreckers last won the title, I was driving a Vauxhall Chevette.

They've definitely been playing better lately under Hasenhüttl. What a lift for the semifinal that would be!

Working with plenty of Liverpool fans and yesterday they couldn't wait to tell me its their destiny, to the point where it is written in the stars and God's intervention made sure that this time it will at last be their year.
How else can you get so many breaks without the almighty shaping the inevitable, think they were quoting the BBC website examples of how the they earned the luck by sheer persistence.
Had to agree on the God part mind and pointed out he may just be a city fan and will make sure you deluded f+++rs go right to the last game just to dump you twats on your arses, far too early to take away dippers hopes and dreams yet.
Global warming from candles and rivers overflowing with cult tears, ....thanks God never thought you had such wicked sense of humour.

Don't forget that Liverpool have Wolves at home last game who could be the Cup Final a week later and with no problems with their league position they'll play a weakened side.

Liverpool aren’t losing in their remaining games best we can hope is a draw at one of them, this would allow us to lose one, I don’t see us drawing any, it’s shit or bust time.

Good defender but I have serious questions about his mentality and attitude
