Not the point of the post but does anyone know how they come up with those valuations of compensation (£2k for fracturing someone's leg etc)?

They probably worked out how much she would have lost in wages and whether it was a career ending injury ;)

So, unless things are done the 'hard way' it's meaningless?

By 'hard way' I'm assuming it means being created by an extremely wealthy man, being given a stadium for free, being propped up by Football Pools money, splurging £200m on players and then having to deal with the hardship of FIVE opposing team goalkeepers lining up to hand over 15 points in games they should never have won.
