Why we will win the league!

Why we will win the league -
1) We know the last time we had just champions league to aim for. It didnt go that extraordinarily well so this time we have league games as well. We will be sharp all the time.
2) We still have KDB, sane, mahrez, fernandinho, mendy, kompany, danilo, jesus, relatively fresh. if they hit form at the right time we wont have too much problem.
Anyways this is already a extraordinary season.
lets make this team the best of all times. Win all.

Pep isn't eluding to us managing out games.

If anything, there is now a clear inference games might possibly catch up with us.

If only this thread title ended with an actual question mark, making it seem much more realistic.

you could argue the same with liverpool, interesting little stat during the everton/arsenal game, although it was aimed at arsenal it showed goals conceded this year in the league

us - 5
liverpool - 12

we are much tighter in the run in which got to be a plus

I think currently we look like we are trying to manage games at 1 or 2-0. It's like we are in energy conservation mode as soon as we take the lead, but that has a habit of breeding sloppiness.
The game against Brighton was a prime example. We are too used to playing in 2nd gear and it can be difficult to hold concentration.
Stupid mistakes in basic passing become more frequent and you can find yourself in trouble very easily against better quality.
I would much rather see us being totally professional and keeping our game at maximum sharpness, but understand that that is difficult also while rotating the squad as much as needed.

It does look like one slip up in the league is going to cost us and you can see it happening the way we are playing at times.
But you just have to hope that as others have said, players coming into peak form at the right time and being fresh at the right time could see us over the line.

Also, assuming Liverpool beat Porto, they will probably face two tough games against Barca, which is a bonus for us.

I still think the CL is a long shot and would rather dedicate the season to retaining the PL. FA Cup is a banana skin and it would be horrible to lose it to Watford, having been at the Wigan game.

One game at a time. Put a team out each time that is willing to go full pelt and not relax after 2-0.

Not to discredit our last three opponents, but I think we'll know after our next three games if we're going to win the league or not. If we can take nine out of nine while Liverpool also have Chelsea at home and relegation threatened Cardiff away, I think we'll stay on top.

Amen to that Brother (or Sister)

Add to that that they play Wolves in there last game IIRC, which is not something I'd fancy us having to do depending on 3pts.

This weekend is key for me. Could do with Chelsea taking points off them, as Liverpool’s next two games after this weekends should be an easy 6 points, especially if results go against Cardiff this weekend. Palace away is the start of a nervy run for us. Don’t know about you lot, but I ain’t looking forward to this next few weeks.

Palace have apparently won just four times at home this season?

They are now safe, so if we can get the win, the pressure on Liverpool before they kick-off against Chelsea will be huge.

Klopp knows only wins will do now and that's where teams such as Chelsea can exploit the extra space on the counter.

I expect us to be back on top and level on points come Sunday night.

If Chelsea can manage three points, we have one hand on it.

I suggest you go back in time pal. The last few weeks of most seasons for many years were spent like a prisoner on death row. These days fear is purely relative. I will hope to enjoy most of the weeks ahead.

Sums up exactly what I've been thinking now for a few weeks, especially the first 2 paragraphs. I've noticed we've started the last few games trying to get the early goal which can only be a deliberate tactic. I think we're at the stage now where a draw could well prove fatal for either team.

I will only enjoy it if we manage to keep on winning. Can’t bare the thought about us slipping up and letting them capitalise.

I think Palace will be reasonably routine for us. We have won far harder away games (Spurs, Everton even Bournemouth to cite a few) and I can't see us repeating the mistakes in our last game against them, or everything running for them again. Also think we will beat Spurs (they have a pretty awful record at Etihad, barring the infamous Clattenburg match). The Scum game is the one - we are better than them, but derby day is always something of a lottery as we saw last year. And while we will control the game, they are quite capable of doing a PSG on us.

If you think we will win the league it has to be six wins and nothing less. Get yourself a tenner, stick it on us to win the next game, bang the winnings on the next game and so on. Much better than the paltry outright odds being offered. I can't see them dropping any points so only 6 wins will do.

We need a hero , Yaya did the business at Palace and Newcastle in previous tight title run ins , we now need a player to step up ,my money is on KDB to score some important goals in the next few weeks , his influence will grow game by game , a fully fit KDB returning for the business end of the season is like signing a £100m midfielder. Bring it on Dippers.

Roy has the refs onside, they are giving him loads of pens,we'll have to score 2 or 3 to win
