That was a huge result for us yesterday. Neverton always raise their game against us, and we coped with it admirably, in the same week as we played 2 of the top 6. Liverpool on the other hand went there, neverton raised their game and frankly liverpool didn’t cope with it

We had been leading for a number of meetings months and the rags had slowly whittle that down to overtake us in early March

I don’t think we could handle playing 4 high intensity high pressure games against genuinely top class teams in the CL QF & SF in addition to tough league games and potentially a tough FA Cup SF.

I’d rather win the league and fa cup than the CL so I wouldn’t be all that upset if Schalke sprang a surprise next week and eased our impending fixture chaos

Looking at our remaining fixtures I still think we have the squad to cope. Ferna & KDB will both be a big miss but with the right rotation we can go all the way. We'll need a big rub of the green though - any more injuries and we'll really be stretched.

It comes down to game management. Need to be winning games early and getting Ferny and Aguero off early and then they can cope. Gundogan and Danilo can slot into dm to see out games and give Fernandinho vital rest. It will be tough but we have the squad for it and Ferny is resting at the moment! I reckon Pep is being clever with his assessment and he might be ready sooner.
