How does a single seller aquire 4 tickets for Burnley or any other match
A points whore can only get 1 ticket per match.
You really should think before you open your mouth.
Or perhaps they could get 4 off a supporters club

I haven’t said anything about where the tickets might have come from. The reference to 4 tickets is from the ticket page for Palace on Sunday.

You did open your mouth so I’ve answered you.

If you can show me where I've made something up, then I'll happily apologise.

You criticised the crowd at Huddersfield, and you've pre-emptively criticised the crowd at Burnley.

You've said the "middle aged and scruffy" points whores will turn up to Burnley so the atmosphere won't be very good because of them, and now those same points whores will be selling 4 spares before the game, so presumably won't be there. Which one is it?

If the league is still in our hands when we play Burnley, the crowd will be good. If we drop points and its in Liverpool's hands then the crowd may well be shit. The people in attendance won't change that either way.

How about the part where I’m supposed to have said ere weee 1,300 points whores lol.

I hope our crowd is bouncing. If you follow my comments so closely you will have noticed that I am one of the first to stick up for our fans when it’s about ticket sales for Wembley or Spurs in Wednesday etc.

I was saying the points whores will turn up at Burnley. In recent months there have been a number of games on the ticket page where people have been offering 4 or so tickets a couple of days before the game. There may well be a very good reason for this but I doubt it will happen at Burnley.

You and Chappie seem to be conflating the issues of points whores and people getting tickets according to ticket points. I haven’t made a claim about where people might be getting tickets from as I don’t know.

Friends & family. I've been with a group who got 10 tickets for a CL away between 3 of them that way. Only the 3 of them were definitely using the tickets. The other 7 tickets were offered to people they thought might want them. They might also get them through a seasonal hospitality member. I've also just had an email from my branch saying there's a few tickets available for Sunday.

So it's quite easily done.

The email from your branch re Sunday.
Are these tickets that were allocated to the branch and not taken up.
Or are they tickets that have just been released by City because Corporates have not taken them up.

And once again tickets for a match that sold out weeks ago become available for a match 2 days before we play.
And that is not a dig at the supporters club it is the club's fault
As a City members rep why do you not bring this up with the club and if you have what is their response

It just said "We have been informed that there a small number of tickets available..." so I guess it's either returns/unused tickets of some sort.

Interesting that you've made an assumption that the club has fucked up in some way. I don't know the answer to that & neither do you. Also interesting that it seems like you're aiming a dig at me for not bringing this up, as though I should be scanning the forum and bringing up every possible complaint without being asked by someone to do so.

If you had said "PB - can you bring this up at your next meeting?" via my City Matters email then I'd happily do so. But posting something that makes you sound like a petulant little child doesn't encourage me to help you out. I'm getting increasingly fed up of being spoken to like shit and the sooner some of you realise this the better it will be for all of us.

The 1,398 figure was the number of tickets (2,398) less the rather sarky comment about the "usual" faces you would know (1,000).

Happy to move on.

I think your being a bit kind there as I'm sure you know the real reason.
My guess is that they have not been taken up by Corporates who are allowed more time to decide.
Or not taken up by the Intermediary who punts them out to the Agencies.
This happens on a regular basis for matches deemed not so attractive.
The Club now expects fans to make last minute arrangements. It's a F****** joke.
If you are still on the Supporters Committee I hope you will bring this up at the next meeting you have with the Club.

I think the problem City face is that we are not as big a draw for Sponsors as Utd. The Club ends up giving Corporates too many perks including last minute returns of tickets.

There certainly weren’t any spares being offered to Supporters Clubs for the in demand Fulham or Spurs CL game (and Palace went to zero points).

I wouldn’t give the sponsors so many perks but I’m not running the Club.

Think you're being paranoid Colin, every time you're mentioned on here or being a City Matters rep gets mentioned don't take it as an insult. I really do not read his post as him being a "petulant little child", sure I cannot be the only one.

I don't know the real reason and neither do you. Yes it could well be seasonal hospitality members taking tickets and then deciding they're not going to use them but it could be supporters clubs where members can't use the tickets for legitimate reasons, it could be internal tickets that no one wants to use or it could even be a handful of returns that they've sat on hoping that fans ring up and take them or they can get rid of somewhere else.

Who is this mysterious 'Mr Big' who supposedly pumps out tickets to agencies? The club certainly authorises resellers to sell hospitality packages for home matches and there's a few I believe that sell general admission tickets (including RyanAir) but I'm not aware of away tickets legally being resold via third-parties.

I've had worse shit on here Liam but it was the tone I object to. I'm happy to answer people's questions and bring up genuine concerns and many people have emailed me via City Matters and I've either been able to help them or got the ball rolling to try to do so. Those people have been politeand grateful for any help. There's only been one person who's been a bit off and he apologised when I pointed it out.

Yet on here there's a few people who have crossed the line and others who think I can be talked to without civility or respect. I've blocked 4 so far (not the "loads" someone said I had) and i will not be spoken to in any way that I find demeaning.

Edit: see that reply to my post above. Another user who is getting very close to me hitting the Ignore button on.

If, and it is an if, the club are allowing corporates to return their tickets 48 hours before a game then that is wrong surely. It's one thing be able to drive down the road to Burnley, Huddersfield etc at short notice, it's quite another thing going to South London last minute. And if tickets are returned why are they not put back on sale at the points level they sold out at rather as well as via supporters branches. Corporates should be told that any returns must be 10 days prior to the game.

Yes, is it not correct the rest of us can't return within the last seven days?

Yes
And only then if you have the tickets to hand.

Therefore those having a go at people selling tickets for Palace in the other thread should consider that they were unable to return them as the tickets were only sent out this week.
