Again the derby is being played with a lot more at stake rather than bragging rights. I keep faith in that we are one of the most consistent teams. Able to field 11 players from a squat that is simply the best ever. And taking three points with them on Wednesday. United will be a different side on Wednesday, still I reckon we are too much for them to handle.

They won't roll over. The Everton result and performance was that bad they need a response and they really need points to finish in the top four. We have to accept the only way we win the league is the hard way. No favours or easy games.

Seeing how they struggled against Everton it is all about the press. They couldn't string two passes together and Everton tore them apart.

It is a game we should win but it will be tough considering it is a derby and so much is at stake.

I still believe Liverpool will drop points somewhere. Probably only another draw but I think we need 3 wins to win the league. Beating United and Burnley would put us in am excellent position. We can sit back and watch them struggle at St James before knowing what we need to do against Leicester.

The Daily Fail has dedicated it's online sports pages to United.

If we beat them tomorrow, they will get more pages and headlines than we will.

TBH it was the worst result for us before the derby. All their players will be up.for it now. They will die for that red shirt for 90 minutes. We will have to be at the top of our game to beat those mad and desperate f***ers on Wednesday.

Agree that they'll be up for it and no way will they play as bad as they did on Sunday, but it's a derby with a CL spot on the line for them so surely they would've been up for it regardless of Sunday's result? We know what we have to do and frankly - going off United's recent form and performances - there's little excuse not to turn these fuckers over tomorrow. Can't deny I'm shitting it though!

This will not be easy at all. I imagine they will set up exactly how spurs did with a diamond in midfield and Rashford and martial up top. The horrible shit Herrera being back for them is a blow for us as a midfield of static (more appropriate name imo) Pogba, Fred and mctominay or however it’s spelt is very weak. I suspect their midfield will be Matic at the base like wanyama was, Herrera and pogba and lingard at the top supplying long balls into the space behind our defence to martial and Rashford. I don’t think Solskjaer posses the tactical nous to do anything different but to try and mimic spurs as it was clear they did cause us problems with their pace.

Reading the interviews from Pogba and static they have mentioned a meeting after the mauling and are ready to react, that could go one of two ways get an early goal and it will deflate them.

I think it is pretty obvious how we will line up with maybe 2 decisions to be made, I see Mendy missed training yesterday so one of those decisions may be made a lot easier for pep the other is who to play next to Laporte at cb. Me personally I would go with Kompany as he is our leader and he is probably marginally quicker then stones but certainly quicker than otamendi. Otmendi to come in against Burnley as he relishes those physical challenges.

Ederson

Walker
Kompany
Laporte
Mendy (zinchenko if not fit...again)

Fern
Gundogan
D Silva

Sterling
Bernardo
Aguero

Think it will be 3 -1 to us but I’m so nervous and losing sleep already I may not even watch the game to not put myself through the anguish! Cmon city one last push

I'd much rather them come into this game demoralised and at each others throats after being battered 4-0 by a midtable side, than them riding in on a wave of euphoria having won 4-0. They're not in a good place at all right now and that should only be a positive thing for us.

Agree with that team as Bernardo has played on the wing all season

You expect Utd players to be 'up' for a derby, under any circumstances, but especially if they see the chance to stop us winning the title. And their fans would love that, whatever they say.

It's far better to be playing in those circustances, against a bunch of players who have just shipped 7 goals in two games. It makes our job easier, to undermine their confidence.

After the kicking Spurs gave us surely we have to expect more injuries than just Kev? We await Pep's press conference........

Not a chance they will be anywhere near as bad tomorrow than they were on Sunday. The media have hammered them so much on every level with the sole purpose of driving a reaction from them to stop us winning the league. I fully expect an incredibly hard game tomorrow, but if we do what we are good at and take our chances i expect we will have too much.

As usual this derby game worries me, but Utd would need a significant improvement to get near us if we play anything close to our best. The fact that we can’t afford even a draw means Utd can in a way play defensive and wait for us to get more and desperate if we don’t break the deadlock early, the problem for them if they try that is I would question whether they have the defensive skills and organisation in which to stifle us sufficiently.

A lot of reds I’ve spoken with of late can’t see anything other than us walking through them, again, something that worries me!

They've played utter crap in last few games. They'll be a different proposition tomorrow. Not actually good, you understand, but they'll tighten up at the back and try to hit us on the break.

"The sole Purpose"! Give your head a wobble, it was an abysmal performance from them, they would have got the same hammering if they were due to play Accrington Stanley next!

Sounds about right. Them silly free kicks we give away now and then around 35-40 yds out cannot happen either.

I don't remember the media ever claiming a set of players have embarrassed the club with a single performance like they are doing with this. The media are chomping at the bit for us to fail and Liverpool to win it and they see this as the big opportunity. They are doing their bit to ensure that there will be no repeat performance of the Everton game.

Can we hammer them? Yes. Will we? Eh...
Ederson
Walker, Kompany, Laporte, Zinchenko
Fernandinho
Sterling, Bernardo, D. Silva, Sané
Aguero

Muric, Danilo, Stones, Foden, Gundogan, Jesus, Mahrez
