Jadon Sancho

With hindsight its a real pity we didn't go all out to keep him and not spent time and effort chasing the busted flush Sanchez and wasting £60m on Mahrez. Pep makes very few mistakes but this may just be one of them.

He was offered like 30k a week at 17, and Pep wanted him to go on the pre-season tour, but Sancho was determined to leave. Couldn`t have done much more to keep him, it was our poor record of playing academy players that came back to haunt us

He wanted to play football, when you are expected to deliver on all fronts almost instantly like Pep is , it's hard to risk playing youngsters when you can play known quantities. Sadly sometimes those known quantities just dont work out either.

Put it in the shit happens category.

The lad got impatient and decided he wanted instant football,he was never going to stay here and fight for his chance. It wasn't a bad decision as he has proved, but by the same token......Foden's decision not to take an easier path was equally good.

Agree entirely.

Spot on. And look at Zinch. If you're good enough, your chance will come. I just think deep down, he never wanted to be here.

I disagree,i'm sure he would have loved to still be here and winning trophies like his mate....he just didn't fancy his chances.

No. I'll disagree on that. He's a Cockney and in my opinion, he was never going to be happy in Manchester. I'll bet you he ends up at a London club after Dortmund. And if you are right about him wanting to be here, good riddance!

i have took shit for saying sancho should have stayed and fight for a place and not spit his dummy out ?? when top coaches and manager at city says not yet your not ready, he then goes and says he wants a move and the club have no choice but to let him leave ?? yes we got a good price and maybe a sell on fee as well, but for me its not about his talent but the attitude and that is what makes a good player into a great player

who ever sancho lands up next he will be that kid that thinks he knows better and dare the manager or coach leave him out or drop him ??? a ticking time bomb with talent is a dangerous player to have at your club ?? and we have seen pogba at united and many more type of player just like sancho and the attitude is not right

yes i don't really know the lad and maybe he is being told the wrong things by others like the agents ?? but from what i have seen with pep a player has to be 100% a team player and listen and wanting to learn and never demand a place and am talking about seasons pro's not a youth player

I agree, hence why Foden is treated like he is.Pep obviously adores and respects his approach and attitude.

You took shit because pretty much everything you said, and are still saying, about Sancho is complete bollocks. Do you have any evidence of him having a bad attitude? He’s been at Dortmund for 2 years now so it should be fairly easy to find an article that mentions his bad attitude...

Do you have any evidence of him having a bad attitude? = nope ???

its just what happen at city and pep saying he was not ready and needs to say in the youth setup train hard and see ?? just like foden but sancho did not want to wait and wanted a first team squad place and pep did not like that and told him so and sancho was off

i watched a lot of the youth cup team sancho played in and he was the stand out player ?? but he would get frustrated with the other players if the pass was wrong or not coming and head down and looked like he did not care enough ?? also a lot of arm waving and pointing at times again would lose consecration with the game ?? but you could see the talent and i have never question his talent but maybe the people around him

but i have a right to air my views just like you ?? and its only my opinion and not life or death ?? yes maybe its bollocks like you say but you know what he is not a manchester city player anymore so i really don't care and if am wrong then i will be the first to say so

There's absolutely no chance he goes to a London club next. None of them can afford him.

That's probably why it's on the "general football" part of the forum and not the part to do with City...

That's just surface, 90% of discussions are still about him leaving the club, why "she" left, moaning about it etc..

Brahim Diaz is on general forum too, but it's not even similar thread.

I think that's what he wants. I might be(I usually am) wrong, but I reckon he wants to be back in the smoke.

Then he could have gone in 2017. Now he's worth €150m+ he's not going back to London unless he runs down his contract and stays in Germany another 4 years, or the Saudi's or someone similar buy Arsenal/Chelsea/Spurs.
