Everyone is going to have a self serving opinion.

We desperately tried to sign Sanchez the summer Sancho left. That would have put him even further down the pecking order. I wonder if this was communicated to Sancho. I suspect it wasn't since his main ambition was to play first team football asap.

Personally I am happy for him getting to play. The England u17 team especially had some of the best young English players I have ever seen. However the likes of Gomes, Brewster, McChechran, Sessegnon, Hudson-Odoi, and Panzo are 18 now and none of them are anywhere near the first teams of their clubs. Even Foden who is a remarkable talent only gets to play in meaningless games or the odd 5 minutes here and there when 4-0 up.
