We need a reliable, attacking left back, who can play 30+ games a season. Mendy is averaging around 8 games a season.

On the gundogan from I would happily keep him another season and let him wind down his contract!

I’m not saying sell him, I’m saying I think we’ll sell him.
He may well sign another deal which I’d be happy with, then it’s all moot.

It depends on the offers we get. If people are suggesting 20,25m then I'd keep him. If they're offering 30+ then it might just be better to get a replacement.

I will lay the scenario down for you. transfer fees are unimportant, City will buy an attacking player this summer because like every club, that is what the global markets require , and most likely Pep. One attacking player will be leaving, squad size, it will not be Marhez unless he asks for a transfer.

It goes in 3 yearly cycles as a result of FFP. 2 years ago, we spent big on fullbacks etc meaning that last summer we had to rein in our spend. We may spend a bit bigger this summer, but the transfers 2 years ago haven't dropped off the FFP list yet.

If we have a similar season next year we can expect to play around 60 games. Based on the last two seasons, Zinchenko would be required to play around 50 games, in a position he is still learning.

He`s done perfectly well this season, and he`s improving quickly so I wouldn`t be too worried about Zinchenko. Laporte and Mendy (hopefully) could still be backups, and Lala, the rumored replacement of Danilo, is apparently also capable of playing as a LB
