Leicester (H) Post Match Thread.

That result almost felt decisive but I noticed everyone connected to City made an attempt to reign their emotions in, until the job is done(even Kompany who was obviously feeling it) because it could be all for nothing, if we don't win against Brighton at the weekend.

What a horrible opponent Leicester were to play against in the run in. They have slowly but surely built up a ball playing squad, fully capable of playing out from the back(to me it even looks as though they've tried to build a City-lite). They have players that can hurt you on the counter and those that aren't afraid of the dark arts, Maddison especially annoyed me, trying to get Silva sent off when he was on a yellow. City deserve a lot of credit for last nights game.

I felt that we would have eventually scored, as we were upping the pressure the more time ticked on and they were starting to creek as a team. But I'm glad Kompany scored when he did though, as the sooner the goal came the better, with all the nervous energy being expended.

Between Leicester and Wolves, it could start looking like a top 8 next season, depending on what happens over the summer transfer window.

last few times we have played them, really began to get a hatred towards Kasper.

Time wasting, moaning you name it. Needs a kick in the vagina

Missed Fernandinho and Kev big time last night.
All good in the end though due to the I was there when Vinnie scored a wonder goal from 30 yards.

United are in big trouble. When they have managed to tie down the shit they need to get rid of (Jones, Young and Smalling) and it appears that their better players like Mata and Herrera are going as well numerous others like Valencia. The rebuilding job is immense.

I’d say Wolves, Leicester, Everton have a better 1-11 and with a few signings will be stronger than United. Watford, West Ham and Bournemouth with a couple of smart buys will also be on par/better squad wise.

Yeah I've always had the feeling he has a chip on his shoulder about City and it's easy to imagine the reasons why.

The stick that Iheanacho is getting for his miss is ridiculous. I would have been more impressed if he puts that in considering the pass was behind him with barely any speed. Very hard to generate power onto a ball when you need to scoop backwards to hit it.

The £100.000 softened the blow(allegedly) :)

It's on Sky Sports PL right now if you want to go through it all again. Whole match by the look of it.

The rags are in serious danger of being overtaken by these up and coming teams. Their managers are imposing a certain style and discipline on their players while utd flip-flop without clear purpose.

Almost forgot, did anyone else hear Tyler get way over excited momentarily, over a slip from Kompany?

Only for him to recover immediately, much to Tyler's disappointment:

... aaand he's recovered it

Not been a lover of Gundo but when he replaces Fern plays very well. I thought he was superb last night breaking up attacks and keeping us moving.
Agree. The only thing lacking is a turn of pace. He got done twice for their two chances in the second half.

But he was excellent at reading the game yesterday.

It's OT, but they've been postponing the inevitable for years now as they don't want to spend a couple of years wandering in the wilderness while they rebuild. In the States nearly all professional sports clubs go through this regenerative process after a period of success due to free agency and no money changes hands on transfers, plus luxury taxes. Utd must do the same but they're hanging on like Dr. No in the nuclear vat. Now that wandering is going to be in a darker, colder desert and for longer, and cost more. They are a textbook example of naive, arrogant, laurel-resting coupled with unbridled wealth, sloth and rampant stupidity. I love it.

He read the game brilliantly last night but his tackling, passing and shooting was terrible last night.
Like most of our attacking players to be fair.
