2019 Summer Window - Whom do we Need ? - Whom will we Sign?

If we are anticipating a transfer ban for 2 windows after this summer we will have to replace Kompany, Fernandinho, Silva, Gundogan, Otamendi, Bravo and Delph. That means an awful lot of forward planning is needed.
Agree, exciting Bluemoon transfer window, esp as next 2 likely be quiet

I won't speculate. Don't want to be crucified. Besides, I'm trying to hold on to my banning powers on the Ederson thread. So I have to be careful with my emotionless proclamations.

The tea leaves are readable though.

Might be a silly question, but if Delph leaves, do we have to bring another Englishman who`s older than 21?

Not enough homegrown in that list Dax

Sanchez
Fred
Phil the Face

All for £35 - job lot. Hopefully we will put them to work 15 hours a day; coaching kids as part of City in the Community.

So how much is that in list - about £250m ? And I guess we could raise £70 or £80m in sales without losing someone with lots of potential.

One thing's for sure.
Txiki has to get this window right.
Some of our senior players will be phased out next season.
New players will have a Pep 'learning curve' to negotiate
It looks like we're losing Gundogan and Ota so need reinforcements there.
Liverpool and City to dominate

Pep has said wants more English, FA are hovering depending on what happens with brexit. But will see

I am pretty sure that with any new implementation it has to go to a vote between the PL clubs and a majority has to be made.

An increase in homegrown players will never happen in my opinion.

In:
Rodri 60m
B. Fernandes 47m
Lala 13m
Total 120m

Out:
Danilo 25m
Otamendi 25m
Gundogan 30m
Delph 10m
Mangala 5m
Jack Harrison 10m
Douglas Luiz 10m
Total 115m

Garcia to replace Otamendi, or get De Ligt if possible. If it’s true we’re willing to spend 100m net, we should have more than enough funds for De Ligt, or to pay Alderweirelds release clause of 25m

I'm a bit confused by the squad numbers. Let's assume we're getting a 'like-for-like' replacement for every outgoing player.
How do City intend to accommodate a new foreign DM?

The most obvious solution is replacing Otamendi by Garcia or a homegrown CB (Maguire), right?

After last nights Liverpool performance. I think it shows why Pep is so keen to spend big this summer and buy more top players.

Liverpool are the real deal and we need to improve our squad in the transfer market to keep them behind us. Because Liverpool are capable of that with Origi up top and Milner in midfield. And make no mistake, they will improve as well.

Exciting times ahead.

Delph will have to be replaced by a homegrown player in one position, centre back or full back most likely, depends too whether we go with just Muric as back up keeper or replace or keep Bravo.
