Lets see if Newcastle still support FFP

Mike Ashley has agreed to sell Newcastle for £350million to the cousin of Sheikh Mansour. Contracts have been signed and submitted to the Premier League between Ashley and Sheikh Khaled bin Zayed Al Nehayan. [The Sun]
This is good news for us because it nails the media lie that we are "owned by a country." I hope Newcastle get their act together because their fans deserve some success.

Only earlier today I was having a twitter 'discussion' with some Geordie who claimed he wouldn't want to be us. I said it makes me laugh when other fans say this then get giddy at the slightest whiff of investment from foreign billionaires. He's just tweeted me again saying he's gutted with lots of winking emoji's.... I bet he fuckin is lol

I've been using that argument for ages but it falls on deaf ears. Lets see if it's true first. Doesn't affect the FFP investigation either.

Things are going to get very interesting.
Can’t see anything other than all out war. A second player coming into the PL from that neck of the woods that they don’t like.
That neighborhood that is richer than the debt ridden neck of the woods that some reside in. Richer and don’t mind investing.

UEFA are going to come under considerable pressure firstly from the ECA English clubs I would imagine.

They’ll want us out and quickly.
Having listened to Khaldoon we seem ready for the fight.

Interesting times ahead.

Regarding Newcastle, how can they now grow their club if FFP in the Premier League only permits them to spend what they earn?
Not our problem, we as fans have spent years trying to tell fans outside the top 6 that financial regulation is literally designed only to stop their clubs from ever challenging the old guard and half of them laughed at us in return as conspiracy theorists.

Yes, I'm not worried about it I'm just intrigued as to the motivation of the new owner at Newcastle. If his hands are tied with what he can do then what is his motivation for buying the club in the first place?

If Newcastle, Everton or Wolves could make it a big 7, 8 or 9 in the Premier League, could it make the appeal and success of the league even bigger in financial terms? Especially given the lack of many major teams in the other leagues of Europe. That's the unique selling point for the Premier League, more bigger games. More excitement. More enjoyment.

Relax guys .... Based on Khaldoons interview we'll be taking on all comers to the highest courts possible if they try it on !

This bit in the BBC article was telling......

On Sunday, Mubarak restated his belief City will "unquestionably" be cleared "if the process is going to be judged on the facts".

However, he added: "If it's not about facts, then it is a different conversation."
