As for all politicians lying. Yes they do. But there is a difference between the sort of nebulous "we´re all in this together" type lie and a specific lie such as Boris´s that can be checked.

Obviously this is politically motivated but that doesn´t affect whether his statement was true or not.

No because it’s not a lie. Clegg at the time it was said will have genuinely believed that they would or should not raise tuition fees. If circumstances change and Clegg’s mind is changed with it then that is just a political decision. Like pledging not to raise taxes, find out we’re skint and then raising taxes. If the public take umbrage then they will get voted out.

Johnson however made a specific factual claim which was a lie. Johnson knew it was a lie and persisted with it hence the lawsuit. Moral of the story. Don’t lie.

I don’t agree with the lawsuit but Johnson getting banged up for it is hilarious. Which he won’t. Still amusing though.

I can assure you i am not and remainers like the idiot who brought this case and those who funded it and the ones supporting it are nothing but undemocratic cry babies who think they have found something else that might help them over turn a democratic vote.

The law will see the correct result in this, you don’t need to worry yourself.

There’s nothing pathetic about holding a cretin like Johnson to account and making him face his lies over Brexit, that have got us into this mess.

Hopefully this kills his leadership bid.

Sacked from the times for lying and still had a successful career as a politician. This case will only make him more of a rebel which his supporters seem to love. He’s no different to trump. Why people align themselves to these idiots I’ll never understand.
