He gave his all for us and won many trophies but we didn’t appreciate his work ethic so he went somewhere his work rate was appreciated and got what he deserved, a Champions league winners medal, the one that everybody wants. I always liked Milner, and certainly don't begrudge him this success. Very good pro and has done his best at every club he's been at.

True that, and tbf he was hardly going to admit he was leaving for money and because he could only get a game here when others were injured. His last season he did a job for us in nearly every position on the pitch and has done for the dippers too. He's also equalled Steve Gerards league honours.
