Our club has the incredible pulling power of having Pep Guardiola as our manager for only a couple more years. It would be a huge missed opportunity if we wasted it signing mediocre, overpriced English players like Chilwell and Maguire.

We already have Laporte, Stones, Tosin, Sandler, Eric Garcia, maybe Otamendi, Fernandinho or any full back to fill in there when needed.

I suspect Otto will be on his way in the coming weeks, that would only leave us with Stones and LaPorte as experienced centre halves.
If we land him i suspect we will have a completely different opinion of him this time next year.

I agree entirely. Similar criticisms with regards to price etc we're made about Sterling and Walker and or even Stones when we first signed them. A few years on those signings don't seem to have worked out to badly. I would be pleased if we signed him. Experienced, Prem league winner and despite concerns about his pace which I feel are overplayed he would fit well with City. Watch him have a stinker against the Dutch now.

I still think we’d have beaten Leicester without Vinny’s goal but we’ll never know. Ironically Maguire didn’t even know it had gone in!
I think he’s a decent player my only problem with all these Leicester players is we’ll get fleeced by a club that don’t have to sell. They’ve now got a decent manager who will be reluctant to sell their better players.

Don't know why anyone gets hung up about the price. Soriano and Khaldoon will decide if we can afford it and if they think he’s value. Pep and Txiki will decide if they want him and think he’s what we need. Price isn't our problem only how he performs if we buy him.

To be fair a lot of these players haven't played for 4 weeks , some like Stones even longer.
