They are amongst the most stupid and arrogant set of individuals , so believing the suit they spout is not really unusual.

I would be more surprised if Liverpool fans showed a bit more humility, and just stated Liverpool FC have won the European Cup 6 times, rather than the additional ‘European Royalty’ guff.

You've obviously not been paying attention. The reason they didn't (technically) win the league is becase Arab oil money caused them to draw a load of games after Xmas. Also, as European royalty the whole domestic league thing is frankly beneath them, and apparently they are going to win next year (la)

According to ESPN they would have won the league if all of their shots from outside the box went in. Clearly they've been robbed of the title in that case

I don’t get this criticism of Liverpool describing themselves as ‘European royalty’. It’s entirely accurate.

King John got us all kicked out of Europe for a number of years in the early 1200s. He was ‘European royalty’.

I was joking with you, but Liverpool fans and humility in the same sentence is something you are unlikely to come across often.

Just reading comments on Stones in the Fail on Sunday. Dipper going on about losing the title by a point in reply to a blue talking about Stones winning the PL title. Makes me laugh because it could a million points, they still didnt win it so get over it. Call it Karma for when we lost it by a point to Dippers. Except we didnt bang on about being associate champions and pleading for a moral victory trophy.

Any chance we could have two Liverpool threads for the coming season? One for football and one for discussing their fans and club? Last season any talk of the actual football was well and truly lost in a tsunami of other posts.
