Quick question, but which is best. Firestick or Roku Express, both are currently available for £20 on Amazon.
Only way I can see is thisIs there a way of watching this on my laptop, officially or via some other mechanism? I have used the link: https://cityzens.mancity.com/subscribe/ and I have the chance to subscribe but I won't if I cannot watch it on my chosen platform.
Even before ManCityTV came out I'd recommend people to get a streaming stick/box rather than invest in a new 'Smart' TV. There's more chance of getting upto date apps and in some cases working apps such as All4 or the My5 apps. I think it was Panasonic or JVC that lost one or both of those awhile back. For all those people moaning about LG TV’s.
New TV models come out all the time. As soon as you buy one, it’s already dated, as another better one will follow straightaway. TV’s are constantly improved, with new features added. I’ve just bought an LG OLED TV. See my picture’s. And the City TV tag/link was there. It took me 5 minutes to subscribe. Like most people I go through TV’s constantly. That’s the only way anyone can keep up with them and what they offer. Larger size screen, better picture quality, better features, etc. It’s not LG’s fault if you have an older LG TV that doesn’t support the City TV Channel. There must be other ways around it for those people.
Think I've answered my own question with a quick Google. My Firestick hasn't shipped yet so I was thinking of cancelling and ordering the Roku but it looks like it's been neutered since it's earlier days.Quick question, but which is best. I think we're about the same age bud, I remember lying on the floor as close as possible to our 12"(?) black & white TV to watch the likes of The Morecambe & Wise Show. I actually predate the BBC 2 channel by 3 years which is a scary thought nowadays. If I tell any youngster at work that there were only 2 channels when I was born they just don't believe me.I’ve got Amazon, Netflix, Now TV, Apple TV, Roku TV, and a Virgin Box, all either on the TV, a stick, and my Vigin box. It’s absolutely crazy how TV content has exploded, and the amount of channels that are available. Not to mention mobiles, tablets, laptops, Macs, PCs, etc. And to think, when I was a kid we had a 3 push button TV. BBC1, BBC2, ITV. Remotes weren’t around then either. Lol!
Received an email after subscribing yesterday and says I will be billed £1 a month after the 30 day free trial. Could be a mistake but either way if it’s £1 or £1.99 it’s a bargain
Thought it might be mateHalf price for STHs!
Opened app again this morning after subscribing last night and watching a few videos.
Now asking me to subscribe again. On a smart TV
It would be good if the club could say when it will be available on other makes of TV - I have a Samsung TV and an old Apple TV box - I don’t fancy spending £40 on a fire stick just to access City TV (I missed the Amazon Prime day offer of £20).
Probably been asked already, is this coming to Xbox One and PS4?
it did that with me, its fine just press back and select again.
