Klopp will have dumped the League Cup months before and will preparing to do likewise with the FA Cup so they won't have a fixture pile up like City had last season.

I'd be surprised if they don't squirm out of having to play in the Carabao Cup at all. Can't see them managing to get out of the FA cup though, more likely a weakened team and crossed fingers. But whatever the subterfuge, I think you're right and the only way they take a cup seriously is if they're already out of the running in the PL and CL.

He'll fuck the Carabao cup off as early as possible if he can.

They might have a few games in December, but I wouldn't say it's overly demanding team wise, but hope it does become too much for them.

Everton (H), 4 December

Bournemouth (A), 7 December

Champions League, 10 or 11 December

Watford (H), 14 December

Fifa Club World Cup, 18 and 21 December

Leicester City (A), 26 December

Wolves (H), 28 December

Sheffield United (H), 1 January

Don’t you only have to win like 1 game to get to the quarters of the carabao cup? I’d piss myself if he played the kids to intentionally get themselves knocked out only to win. Them getting to the semi finals in that before going out would be marvellous. I hope all the luck they had last season which was completely unprecedented, the likes of which has never been seen before even through Fergies reign, comes back at them this season.

And in the same game in injury time Origi missing a one on one....when clearly offside.

They will lose out with VAR on offsides, there will still be wriggle room for the officials when it comes to penalty reviews.

Also, we know how the commentators will react, advocating dipper decisions and doing the opposite with ours.

Even where Salah blatantly dives? I hoping it will pick these up or it’s pointless.

If there is slight contact you can bet your bottom dollar that they will come away with “not a clear and obvious error” nonsense where they can.

It should reduce their penalties but I’m sceptical by how many.

Compare that to the Jesus penalty review versus Burton. It was a stonewall penalty but can only think it got rejected due to sympathy for them.

Offside is black and white, penalty decisions are still subjective.

The way VAR has been used so far within the game should naturally inform us that Salah's dives will be granted legitimate status. The rest of the PL's penal offences can take fuckin' pot luck!
In slow motion they will determine there was “contact” when a player dives and give the penalty. It’s happened in Italy and Spain. Just because there’s contact doesn’t mean a penalty but the VAR dickheads need to justify their decisions and will have a licence to be as subjective as they like.

Exactly. The incorrect judgement of the whistling wanker in real time, referred to more whistling wankers in the VAR shed will deliver no better outcomes than we have known for 150 years. The judgement of the ref made within a split second was to be viewed so that a definitive statement could be made re a penal offence, but the number of thirteen and fourteen stone players going to ground, Salah being a leading exponent, with the force of a feather striking yer arm is just laughable.

On sky at minute Is the home game last season . Loving it again. Just remembered we beat them with our second choice right back and a centre back at left back ha

Don’t forget of cause the new handball ruling this season. Expect teams will be perfecting shoot at the arms in the penalty area strategy. Daft new rule.
