Away tickets

These should be bought by the club; the original owner barred from future away tickets, excluded from home games on their season ticket, to the value of what he asked for the purchase on FB away tickets.

Totally agree but why will they not purchase the tickets that are on sale on the ticket sites.
Stubhub selling 2's and 4 together for Bournemouth.
Ask yourself why ?

Are they actually marketing them as "18-25" tickets? I would think they'll just be standard adult tickets from the home club unless City are putting a mark of some sort on the tickets which I doubt.

He was selling with train tickets and requesting you need a 18-25 rail card

Anyone had their email from City about the West Ham game?

Love the line that says “anyone needing to collect tickets from the ticket office (at WHU) should allow at least an hour for collection, bag search and entrance.”

So much for the infamous Tweet saying it would just take a couple of minutes’.

Like I said before it comes from people who aren’t regulars and haven’t a clue the imposition it would be.

It’s incredible this isn’t it. Not a clue what people want to do as part of an away.

Minibus on way to Game (random not West Ham before anyone mentions the kick off time)

“Which pub are we stopping at on the way John”

“We aren’t unfortunately as Bob needs to pick up his ticket at 1pm ”

I don’t do always anymore but I feel for those who do.

Didn’t you know, we all go on coaches together, travel for nearly five hours straight to the ground, pick up our ticket and go in to the game.
After the game get straight back for another five hour schlep home.

With enough time to walk around the ground, grab a few selfies in front of the entrance
and buy a half/half scarf.

I got the same email.
The perimeter search last season was the first time that had happened to us at West Ham. As for collecting tickets, I thought the club said this wouldn't be a collect on the day fixture when tickets were sold. So either this is for duplicate tickets or someone at City doesn't know what they are doing. Or both.

You are right, it is not a collection game.
The reason I highlighted it was that if it takes an hour for someone to collect duplicates, which will be a very small number, how long would it take for, say 10%, to have to collect them and show ID.
The rep on twitter said we should all calm down as it will only take a few minutes out of our day. However the club are saying give yourself an hour.

the rep clearly has never been to West Ham, the walk to the ground from the nearest station takes an absolute age, throw in a big queue, and then attempting to get back to your mates, and you have wasted a huge chunk of your day literally wasting time. What if you are selected to collect tickets, and exercise your human rights to decline, what happens then.

Then the supporters clubs get another ticket to dish out to mates as they please.

Stadium is in the middle of nowhere anyway. Only problem with new stadiums not enough pubs in the surrounding areas. Do you reckon we can ask our City Matters reps to look into that for us.

He will probably recommend that the clubs build a new stadium rather than revise his ludicrous ideas.

Avoide Stratford, get off at Hackney Wick. Pubs there.

Seems the the overground to hackney wick is part closed for anyone going via the west hamstead way, i.e. from central or west london.
