Danny Finkelstein has finally broken ranks...
Without these things, what is the point of Conservatives and what is the value of Conservatism? Without them, what will Conservatives say when resisting the challenge of socialists and extra-parliamentary protestors?
I don't disagree - I've said so many times on this forum.I know you don't want to engage with me, but look at post scarcity economic theory
Capitalism is doomed. Marx will be proven right.
He said
"The free development of individualities, and hence not the reduction of necessary labour time so as to posit surplus labour, but rather the general reduction of the necessary labour of society to a minimum, which then corresponds to the artistic, scientific etc. development of the individuals in the time set free, and with the means created, for all of them"
They can have their conference but will have to make ministers available in parliament if Bercow decrees. No doubt Bercow and the opposition will have some fun making life difficult for Johnson & co. Which Johnson will be quite happy about as he’ll expect it to give him a further boost in the polls. The latest is a real gem. Prorogue Parliament, opposition parties get to have their conferences, prorogation illegal Parliament recalled Conservatives unable to have conference because Parliament recalled and not allowed to close for theirs. Wonderful.
For the ‘blue rinses’ and ‘the hang em and flog em brigade’ the Tory conference is the pinnacle- they’ll be gutted. Shame.

Unfortunately a ridiculously high percentage of the electorate still want a hard brexit. And this sort of stuff just seems to harden their viewsNot sure where this boost is coming from the moderate flip floppers who parties rely upon will be horrified by what has happened and the polls agree on this
MPs will return to the Commons at 11.30am this morning. It comes as a poll found that 50 per cent of voters agreed with the judges’ decision, while only 29 per cent disagreed.

Unless you're a fully paid member of the hard Brexit death cult putting a positive spin on this is impossible Johnson's government broke the law and the highest court confirmed this unanimously 11-0.

And don't forget the carers ... the ones who stay at home looking after the terminally ill and the disabled ..... ripping the country off for £63.80 (providing the person they are looking after qualifies for enhanced PIP because they are immobile ) a week saving the state a fortune ...
robbing twats .... what do they find to spend it all on

Johnsons busty blonde American friend says he did visit her flat in London a few times but only for "private technology lessons " lol.
Clearly the GLC had nobody suitable in their IT dept?
He testing out her equipment and was having trouble with the hard drive, must have been a loose connection because he had to keep taking it in, and out to get things working again.
The whole thing beggars belief doesn't it? This man is way beyond unfit to be a PM - I'd love to see an opinion poll taken in his constituency today after the latest revelations - I expect it would make sombre reading fr Bozo the Clown.
Yes, the support for hard brexit stands at around 33%, which in my view is ridiculously high. It’s the highest single Brexit option. Overall leave v Remain continues to fluctuate around 50/50.Sorry mate I think we must read different newspapers or watch different media outlets or something. But I cannot see any poll above the low 30% and that's out of Brexit voting folk. Maybe you need to check your definition or post a link to demonstrate this theory.
I'm being overpaid it seems.
I'm on £66 a week

The latest opinium poll had the the tories on 37% and Bxp on 12%. Other polls have the tory / Bxp vote at around 45%. For Johnson to win the next election he needs to take about half of the voters currently supporting the Bxp. He’s lost the rest of the electorate but could probably win an election with 42% of the vote. His biggest problem at the moment is that it seems extremely unlikely that he’ll achieve his Halloween deadline which will make it difficult for him to take votes from Farage, initially he’ll probably lose votes.
But all of the current shenanigans help him because potential Bxp voters will see this as him doing his best and being thwarted by parliament and the courts. There’s no reason for them to believe that Farage would do any better. So, however tempting it might be for parliament to keep kicking Johnson, they’re probably doing him a favour.
