Var debate 2019/20

Yes agree with this. For argument sake lets say we did lose tonight, due to the refs decisions, the chances are we would still comfortably qualify from the group due to the standard of sides in it. The ref can only influence matches so much so its near impossible to prevent us qualifying. Also if that was their intention the best way of balancing the match would be to send a City player off, like for the foul by Cancelo for a high foot, but they didn't.

Still its highly frustrating but poor decisions seem to be a feature of every game.
Isn't VAR supposed to ensure these poor decisions are corrected?

I get it that a referee makes a mistake, seeing it once and in real-time, tough for anyone but fuck me ,multiple VAR officials see it multiple times from multiple angles at multiple speeds and get it all wrong multiple times, just our bad luck I guess, multiple Incidents of bad luck.

They can't rig every single aspect of the game against us. You don't actually believe that unless it is 100% rigged against us then it's not rigged do you?

I don't believe that, I just think that if UEFA wanted us out of the CL they would have made our passage to the knockout stage far, far more difficult. By giving us this group, even without getting VAR decisions, we're virtually guaranteed to top.

When it comes to knockout stages and these decisions go against us, my tune will change but right now, it just doesn't make any sense despite how frustrating it is.

I'm raging here! You make me so angry!

How obvious do you think they will make it? Giving us a nice easy group is a way out in front of sweet innocent people like yourself.

I swear some people open their eyes but don't see a fucking thing.

No everybody sees it but do not necessarily subscribe to your view.

Without question we should have had two pens, but then the argument becomes is it corruption or is it poor-decision making.

As has been explained not giving us a couple of pens tonight was never going to result in us losing this match nor not qualifying from this easy group (no corruption there then).

Similarly if it was corrupt tonight the simplest and most effective way of influencing the match would be to send a player off (Cancelo kicking Olmo in the face) but when they had this perfect opportunity, if they were trying to fix the result, but they didn’t.

Infuriating, frustrating unfair, piss poor refereeing all those things but no logical reason to think its anything else.

Mate, it doesn't make sense. By giving us a nice easy group, even if they tried to rig it and not give us decisions, we'd still be far likelier to advance than giving us a tough one.

The draw also has a system. We are back to back champions. The system makes the group easier when you do that.

They could rig the draw. They could rig the games. They've chosen the games.

How any man with any common sense can walk out of that game tonight and blame it on incompetence needs help. Serious help.

The game is rigged lad. Its bent as fuck. Not always us, other teams open it because there is so much money changing hands, but we get the brunt. For different reasons but we get it.

So you don’t think football is at the behest of corrupt decision making?

We will never agree. Imo its bent as fuck so I'll respectfully leave it here.

Cheers

Fuck me sideways.

Do you not remember the knockout stages last season then. Jesus Mary and Joseph!

They are mate but as were seeing, and not only in City games, this is not how the technology is being used. Totally frustrating and rendered the technology pointless.

Wrong.

It's not how it's being used in the PL but it's very much being used in the CL.

Depends what you see as the motives of corruption. Betting markets would have had that as a big city win tonight and denying 3 pens arguably saved quite a lot of bookies quite a lot of money?

Who are the easy teams you speak of?
Easy like brugge away to Real madrid ?
It's the best teams in each country, just because in ENGLAND you might not rate teams from France, Belgium or Ukraine does not mean they are not good football teams. You and others on this forum before match saying easy game play foden, garcia know f#@k all about European football.
